12 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS 2023: DAY TWO

ON THE SECOND DAY OF CHRISTMAS, MY TRUE LOVE GAVE TO ME, TWO TURTLEDOVES.

ITEM #1: THE RED RETRO CHRISTMAS BUNDLE

Every year, all year long, I search, source, and collect Christmas fabrics that we think you all would love and would mix well with Fig Tree projects – past, present, and future. Then once all of the fabrics arrive, I group the fabrics based on inspiration and create several different bundles that all appeal to different feels and styles for Christmas.

We all like different things in our Christmas projects and sometimes we want different “feels” for different projects, or gifts for people…

This year’s RED RETRO CHRISTMAS bundle is bright, retro inspired, whimsical Christmas fabrics with some of my all time favorites in there. It is interspersed with some favorite ivory and cream geometric prints and it focuses on whimsical retro feeling red prints. It is wonderful! 

Each bundle has (16) ½ yds cuts of MODA fabrics with a variety of designers such as Sherri & Chelsi, Primitive Gatherings, Urban Chicks, Deb Strain, and more included.

ITEM #2: GINGERBREAD SOAP & SWEDISH DISH CLOTH

These are perfect stocking stuffers [if you ask me] for anyone who enjoys a bit of Christmas cheer in their kitchen or bathroom during the holidays.

Have you guys tried these Swedish Dish Cloths? They are our new go-to instead of a sponge… they dry so quickly, they don’t get stinky, and they are cute and thematic. We might be obsessed. And the little soap? Well…who could resist this perfect little gingerbread scented soap in this adorable box?!

ITEM #3: BOHIN CHRISTMAS NEEDLE SET

Classic needle assortment from one of the top names in needles since 1833. From the moment I discovered BOHIN needles years ago, I knew that they would be my go-to needles for all of my tasks. 

BOHIN needles are made in France and beautifully presented in this Christmas themed packaging.

Each set contains 40 needles in a wide assortment and range of styles and sizes, including the following:

• Sharps

ITEM #4: KIT – TOWELING PLACEMATS

One of our Fig Tree ladies is hosting Christmas this year at her home and she wanted to make up something new and personalized for her Christmas table. She came up with this fabulous idea for patchwork placemats and once she started making them, she couldn’t stop at just one! We ended up with (4) different simple designs.

All placemats measure app. 14″ x 17.5″ when finished [note that given the thickness of the toweling, your sizes might be a bit smaller than that]. You could also do this with your favorite printed fabric, but we thought the French-inspired toweling made for a beautiful and classy set!

Of course this toweling is also our “go-to” for our preferred kitchen towels that we use every day and trade out as they wear out or become too stained. So if you only need a few placemats, I encourage you to use the rest of the toweling to make your own homemade kitchen towels like we do for each and every season! 

Remember that the toweling comes finished on the (2) long sides and only needs to be hemmed on the top and bottom if making towels.
