DENIM & DAISIES: SPECIALTY FABRICS

So with my upcoming DENIM & DAISIES collection, due in stores this August, I have a couple specialty fabrics that I wanted to share about… …… PATCHWORK “CHEATER” PANEL This is a 60″ wide by running yardage fabric that has been preprinted for you. Even if you look close, it’s hard to tell that this is a preprinted CHEATER PANEL! I added as many different prints and tones and details to it, hoping that it looks and feels like an actual scrappy nine patch patchwork. It comes in the DENIM and CREAM…

WORKING WITH WOOL + NEW SPRING-INSPIRED PROJECTS

We’ve done a few wool tutorials here on the blog (dating back to 2016), but it’s time for a blog refresh! To recap, you can find the original tutorials here: Although this info is still very true for how I work with wool today, I will add one of the biggest updates here… ROXANNE’S GLUE-BASTE-IT For years I have used this glue, but my customers have turned me completely to these fabulous lightweight fusible sheets and I love them so much! Gosh these are so good for so many different things, including bags, backings [they are super soft] and garments. One of my friends is having a shirt made out of one of them and I think I might just do the same… the “dobby print” especially…

ANNOUNCING…THE DENIM & DAISIES COLLECTION

Somehow I thought I had shared this here with you last month… but it looks like perhaps I did not SOOOO… better late than never, right?! Honestly, I think its okay since the fabric won’t start to hit stores until August, 2024. I am a denim kind of gal all the way and wear jeans pretty much every day of my life. Mixing the denim “vibe” into a collection has long been on my design wish list, and once I started mixing it up with my favorite orange and butterscotch colors, I knew I…
