Fig Tree and Co. – http://figtreequilts.typepad.com/my_weblog/

MY LETTER IS F.

I am pretty sure I don’t nee to explain that one to you. I have been categorized under F from the day I married the Fig. My maiden name is Polish and started with a W and has no vowels and no one could ever pronounce it. I am happy to be the Fig. Although in order to have it continue, I did saddle all three of my children with it as one of two middle names. Oh well, I guess they will have to be spelling it for people for the rest of their lives too.

Sometimes we call the kids Figlets. They love that….. especially the teenagers! That was also the name of my very first business, Figlets, before it became Fig Tree. Its a good thing we love the fruit!

Figs

Click HERE to download our letter, F. We went a bit scrappy with ours using a mini charm pack of Mirabelle to have a little fun but you can go either plain with yours or scrappy like our version.

Letterf

We thought most of these letters were a perfect opportunity to use up your scraps or mini charm packs! Ours will end up in a quilt with other scrappy letters…. some day later this year.

If fact not only have we done the F, but we have done many patterns over the years with letters in them. Most recently, we did the LOVE YOU MORE pattern.

LoveYouMoreCover-1

Greenloveumore

Green2

… the teenagers favorite quilt, a 2 color LOVE YOU MORE quilt with a cream SNUGGLE backing. He won't share this one.

Loveumorecream

Lovecream2

Before that we did many series with words and numbers in them. One of my favorites would have to be BUNNY DUET or SINGING IN THE RAIN… a little bit perfect for this time of the year.

945-2

944-2
BUT BACK TO THE HOP…

A little disclaimer: we were all asked to give all our answers with our letter. In my case, that would be F. When I first started writing this post, I couldn't think of anything that I wanted to write about that started with the letter F. I mean NOTHING. Other than FIGS… and that seemed a bit too obvous to write about.

So then I thought about writing a little disclaimer, about thanking Lissa for her creativity as always but that I was drawing a total blank and would have to use whatever I could come up with….

And then as soon as I decided that I just couldn't do it, the F's started coming…

I thought that I might tell you that I love lots of odd things like FRESH RADISHES with salt and butter, FETA CHEESE on almost anything and FIGURE 8's. I would be sharing that I love FAIRTYTALES, that I will never get a FACELIFT, that I really value FAITH and FAIRNESS, that I have a total thing for FALAFELS [I have in the process converted the whole family to love them in the process] and that I have always wanted to be a FARM GIRL in the worst possible way. I am always working on the husband to build me a chicken coop.

I would tell you that I am at least a little bit of a FEMINIST and that I would give anything to gather FIREFLIES in a jar again. I would share with you that I have always wanted to be a FLORIST [my dad and I even went as far as researching it several times earlier in my life] and that I collect FOLK ART of many different varieties. I would share that I think FOXGLOVES are quite beautiful even if they are poisonous and that my dad's favorite flower was always a FREESIA. I will be planting some of those soon to remember him. There is something about that scent.

I think FRECKLES are cute, especially on your nose. I would admit that I tried to play FRISBEE golf in college because the boy I liked did it and that I sucked. I would have to add that I have a soft spot for FRENCH FRIES, even though I know they are so bad for you! I would tell you that I do indeed love FIGS and that my blog is called FRESH FIGS.

Figs

I would have to add that one of my favorite things in the whole world is FABRIC. Fabric is like no other medium. It already has a palette in each and every piece. It speaks to me, in clear and precise ways. It really talks. Like a person and tells me what it wants to go with and who it wants to play with. We have a real relationship, FABRIC and me.

I would end by telling you that I love being a FIG. And that I can't think of anything I would rather be doing for work than FIG TREE & CO.

Thanks for going with the whole F thing with me!

Mirabellestack

As for what we're working on now…. we have MIRABELLE coming out next month and we can't wait to see what you all will make with it. The precuts are here now and will be on the stie soon… as soon as we can determine all of the ones that need to be set aside for our upcoming kits…

We have a few wonderful nostalgic tins available now after all our orders have gone out. If you like that kind of stuff, you might want to SEE the few that we have in new…

Mushroom

My favorite MIRABELLE pattern today is probably HUGS and CAROUSEL… just can't pick one I guess. I am definitely FICKLE that way :-).

Hugs

Carousel

Leave us a comment with WHAT KIND OF QUILT PATTERN YOU WANT TO SEE FROM FIG TREE IN THIS NEXT MARKET RELEASE [it can be a block or a style or anything you can dream up] and we will enter you into the drawings that will be held on the last day of the HOP on February 28…. who knows what you might win!

In fact, if we use your idea, we will send you some extra goodies for the inspiration. Thanks for playing along!

I am majorly into creating quilts using large sized blocks! 24″ blocks are so fun to make because it’s like you have made a few mini quilts into a large quilt.
I love everything quilting. And this blog hop is so much fun!
Thanks for showing us your new gorgeous line!! Squeal!!

  3. Lisa Rogers | 18th Feb 14

Your fabrics are so beautiful. When I look at them they remind me of a beautiful watercolor painting. I would love a pattern with different flowers like you would see In a watercolor painting. Your Cherry Pie and Pear quilt patterns are my favorite. Thank you for a chance to win.

  4. Annaleena | 18th Feb 14

Your new collection looks beautiful. It’s still winter time but I’m already thinking about spring and daffodils in baskets. So my pattern suggestion is spring flower basket.

  5. Debbie Yarbrough | 18th Feb 14

I have precuts of your new line on the way and can’t wait until they arrive! I would love to see a pattern for Grandma’s garden or Hexie log cabin. Can’t get enough of your fabrics.

  6. Janelle J | 18th Feb 14

I would love to see pieced leaves or pumpkins similar to your cherries and pears, but with an autumn feel.

  7. Janet | 18th Feb 14

Log Cabin with some appliqué is my favourite idea…

  8. Barbara | 18th Feb 14

Tree, leaves, fruits? I think this would work so well with these yummy colours.

  9. Julie A. | 18th Feb 14

Would love to see a sunflower block. Thanks

  10. Sara | 18th Feb 14

Would love to see a double wedding ring! I am actually working on a double wedding ring quilt with Butterscotch Roses and it’s looking great. Mirabelle is beautiful! Thanks for hosting.

  11. Heidee | 18th Feb 14

I love 8s too, so how about a Figure Eight quilt, without tricky curves, like your gorgeous Carousel? x

  12. Ana S. | 18th Feb 14

Just saw a new line while in Berlin, Oh. Yummy. Would love a paper pieced pattern of any design.

  13. Sarah F | 18th Feb 14

How about a pattern based around a large central appliquéd medallion of a basket of fruits and flowers. If not, I’m loving the current trend for mini quilts and would love to see some of yours translated into “minis”

  14. Abi Clarke | 18th Feb 14

Some sort of sampler with a theme…. Like all stars or all half square triangles or all circular cuts orrrr all appliqué!

  15. Heather | 18th Feb 14

I have discovered the fabulousness of the jelly roll! I would like to have a quilt pattern that uses a jelly roll to make something with small pieces. Also a cute bag made from a jelly roll would be wonderful!

  16. Sharon Zisos | 18th Feb 14

I have been wanting to make a double wedding ring and your beautiful fabric would look divine!

  17. Sandy N | 18th Feb 14

I would love to see something done with hexies. I love every line you design and Mirabelle is just gorgeous!

  18. Joan | 18th Feb 14

I would love to see a quilt with stars with in stars in it.
    Thanks for the giveaway!

  19. Donna | 18th Feb 14

I am intrigued with the Mushroom and Gnome tin pictured. I was thinking this could become a lovely inspiration for applique. Just thinking!

  20. Judy D. | 18th Feb 14

Love the new Mirabelle fabric and it would be most beautiful in any pattern, but would love to see something with spring in mind since it has been such a long winter.

  21. Lisa Marie | 18th Feb 14

I like the look of tessellating blocks and would enjoy a pattern like that.

  22. Sharon Bennett | 18th Feb 14

I truly love all things Fig Tree! When I started quilting, all my projects were dark and primitive… and most of the quilt shops in my area were “tropical bright” which I do not like at all… then I found Fig Tree color pallet and it all reminds me of fresh fruit and flower markets! Ahhhh… I could use some Spring about now! I do have a kit I purchased from you during your 12 days (and was tempted by the nail polish but chickened out)… lol! And, I hope to make the one piece bag soon… As for a suggestion about a pattern from Fig Tree? Maybe a wall quilt with a scrappy border, with a center medallion of some applique borders….. maybe some dresdens too… the spray of flowers for the Millhouse Inn ad is perfect! Anyways, thank you for bringing us some flowers that are low maintenance (no watering, weeding or fertilizing)!!! lol!

  23. Sharon Bennett | 18th Feb 14

Meant to say “center medallion of some applique FLOWERS”… of course… you could put some applique in the borders too… 😉

  24. Michele | 18th Feb 14

I’d love to see a mix of stars, I’ve been trying yo collect different blocks for a sampler quilt.

  25. Jennifer Anderson | 18th Feb 14

Oh my goodness. I love Tins, Postage Stamp styled patterns, the colors, the prints, I can’t believe I didn’t find you sooner! I’d like to make my husband a quilt with either the carpenter’s wheel/star or carpenter’s square. I’d love to see what you could design with one of these in mind. 🙂 I love your style!

  26. Judy | 18th Feb 14

Beautiful fabric! I love the concept of layering Dresden plates. I’ve seen pictures of some but thing it would be beautiful in a smaller version scattered around a quilt. My other favorite blocks are anything that looks like some sort of star. Thanks for the chance.

  27. Lori M | 18th Feb 14

I would love to see a larger size block pattern with som sort of star–star inside a star, perhaps? Big, fast-to-finish blocks 20″ or so…..I LOVE your applique patterns as well!

  28. Sunnybec | 18th Feb 14

I can see others have said this but I love sampler quilts too and would love to see some different blocks.

  29. Laura F. | 18th Feb 14

I would want to see you make a tree quilt. I just think the greens in your lines would be perfect and then it would give people to add fruit to their quilt like in your case a fig tree would be perfect for Market! Can’t wait to see what you come up with!

  30. Sharon | 18th Feb 14

How about a sampler with some of your favorite blocks – ans expression of you with your fabrics – that would be a treasure.

  31. Lea Brummett | 18th Feb 14

How about somethng for the guys in our lives that put up with our quilting obsessions. It would be quite a challenge with so many florals, but doable!

  32. Staci | 18th Feb 14

Mirabelle is so beautiful! I love the colors and am eager for it to hit the shops.

I love the patterns you have done in the past that are mostly pieced but have a dab of applique. For me, block or two of applique feels do-able, while an entire appliquéd quilt feels too intimidating to even start! Another thing I love is how you take something traditional and find simpler, more streamlined ways to make it. I always appreciate that!

  33. Linda | 18th Feb 14

Love your new line! I would love to see some vintage patterns that resemble an old loved quilt.

  34. Alicia Key | 18th Feb 14

That’s a lot of F-words! lol I always enjoy seeing you at the MODA functions! And of course hubby’s LEGS! I’d like to see a an intricate pattern- not tedious, just challenging, with a sparky accent.

  35. Lynn M | 18th Feb 14

Fig Tree fabrics are so delicious and remind me of fall, my favorite time of year. How about a lovely fall leaves inspired quilt. Thanks for the chance to win.

  36. Gigi Voegeli | 18th Feb 14

I would like to see something with a medallion in the center. Love your fabric and patterns. Thanks!
    Gigi

  37. Darlene | 18th Feb 14

The monkey wrench pattern always fascinates me. A different color for every block, of course.

  38. May Britt | 18th Feb 14

I love your patterns. But can’t remember to have seen any cats in your patterns. So perhaps some appliqued cats. Or blocks that makes a cat.

  39. LeAnne | 18th Feb 14

I would like to see a wedding ring quilt!

  40. Margaret | 18th Feb 14

I’d like to see a Grandmother’s Fan made up with Fig Tree fabrics. That is such an inviting traditional pattern, and your fabrics are charmingly traditional and not traditional at the same time, and I think the combination of that pattern and Fig Tree fabric would be fabulous.

  41. Allison Evrard | 18th Feb 14

I love the colors you choose when you design your fabric lines! I think I’d like anything scrappy that mixes and matches your lines.

  42. Barbara Bledsoe | 18th Feb 14

Fans or Dresden Plates would be great. Thank you for the opportunity.

  43. Karen Ann | 18th Feb 14

I would love to see the line in a Rollin Stones quilt or a Single Girl…..those are my favorites….today!

  44. Lauren aka Giddy99 | 18th Feb 14

I love a star quilt! The bigger the block, the faster to finish a bed-sized quilt. 🙂

  45. Brenda | 18th Feb 14

I would love to see a seasonal quilt pattern that would depict the 4 seasons or could be swapped out each season.

  46. Elizabeth | 18th Feb 14

    I love anything with stars.

  47. DeborahGun | 18th Feb 14

I would love to see something more complicated – a quilt with lots of detail and small blocks, with applique too. More like Jen Kingwell’s designs.

  48. Nicola | 18th Feb 14

I love the inspiration stories that you write at the beginning of your books and patterns and was particularly intrigued by the story attached to your “first quilt”, which you described as a Wishbone pattern. I’ve never seen a quilt like that and would love to see it interpreted in your beautiful fabric. I managed to get a place on your vintage block of the month program (you see, I really do love antique quilts!!) and I’m so excited to get started. Thank you for the Frankly Fabulous, Fascinating and First class inspiration, Joanna!! x

  49. Shawn | 18th Feb 14

i would love to see a fabric line with aqua and red. I know you could interpret that into something beautiful.

  50. jmski | 18th Feb 14

I am new to the quilting world, just started in November but right now I find the smell and feel of new fabric intoxicatingly wonderful! My sewing room “stach” has grown and I love walking into it and smelling the air. Wonder if there re ny jar candle with that smell….anyway, am loving my new craft and looking at all the beautiful things others have made and hope one day to also be so creative! Thanks and keep on posting all your beautiful fabrics and projects.

  51. martha mumaw | 18th Feb 14

I would like to see a medallion quilt block center with applique.

  52. Kellie | 18th Feb 14

I love how the traditional blocks always look fresh and new with today’s fabrics. I think your fabrics would look great in a log cabin quilt!

  53. Anita | 18th Feb 14

Oh, your quilts are gorgeous and I have made a quilt from your Butterscotch and Roses line…it’s with my MIL in Malawi, Africa, where she’s working with widows and orphans.

As a busy Mom, I am all about simple quilts…I don’t have time to spend creating intricate works of art, but rather enjoy a beautiful work of heart that I can complete quite readily. How about something with heart blocks? I know there are a few ideas floating around out there, but maybe you can put a spin on it? Thank you for a chance to win.

  54. Margaret Schindler | 18th Feb 14

I would love to see you have a New York beauty quilt done in your new line. I think that would be gorgeous.

  55. Jodi Connors | 18th Feb 14

I love the colors of Mirabelle and I think that a flower basket applique would be gorgeous and with the wide range of colors that you use, maybe even a season sampler applique would be wonderful, of course you need to break it up with some pieced blocks, like maybe dresden’s to show off the beautiful fabric, some flying geese for the border and I love the idea of some churn dash blocks to set off the different seasons…Ooooh I would have so much fun with this, there are not enough large quilts out there that depict the seasons, something you can leave up all year long. Anyway, thanks for the chance to express myself how I would use your fabrics, just need the help with the design. I love the soft tones of your fabric.

    Blessings,
    Jodi
    mtnfamily2013@yahoo.com

  56. Cheryl | 18th Feb 14

ohhh!!! . . . the simplicity of the flying geese block with your amazing play on colors and design twists could turn the simple into a work of art!

  57. peggy hendrick | 18th Feb 14

I would love to see more patterns for mini quilts. Not everyone has places or walls to hang quilts and I find that my wish list outpaces my time and budget for making lap quilts or even full size quilts…

  58. maria elena blecha | 18th Feb 14

I love flowers, summer, beach and sea shells, also bicycles!!! So how about a riding a bicycle that has a basket full of flowers (fresias) to the beach and collect sea shells in an old tin beach bucket!!!! Oh to dream!!!

  59. Lisa | 18th Feb 14

I think you should design a geometric pattern that uses an applique of a leaf in each block. Love your fabrics.

  60. Linda H. | 18th Feb 14

I would love to see some type of sampler quilt. Thank you for your generous giveaway!

  61. Monica | 18th Feb 14

I would like to see more applique patterns. You’ve done such lovely ones in the past.

  62. Laurie Mc | 18th Feb 14

I am into pinwheels at the present! Would love to see your take on a pinwheel type of quilt! Love your colors and fabrics!

  63. Deborah H. | 18th Feb 14

I’m always intrigued by patterns that offer a secondary design. Sometimes simple tweaks with color selection or block placement give a quilt a completely different look so if you have something up your sleeve like that I’d love to see it! Thanks for the chance to win.

  64. Karen McMahon | 18th Feb 14

Your fabric lines are always so beautiful that I think simple traditional patterns would be nice. How about a simple log cabin to show off the fabric line.

  65. Gilda | 18th Feb 14

I’d love to see a traditional design like Log Cabin with a modern twist in your gorgeous fabric designs.

  66. cindy oneal | 18th Feb 14

How about rounds of borders. I think they call it a round robin quilt. start with a center star. then a round of nine patches or half square triangles. then sawtooth or quarter squares. Each row different. Corner stars of different sizes to match the width of each row.I know…the ideas spill faster than they come off my finger tips. the center could be an applique maybe flowers that change sizes or your fruits, an apple in the corner, pears or cherries for the next round. The corner blocks help make it easier because in between the rows and the background can change size too to keep the math easy. So many possibilities and in several of your fabric lines a nice scrappy feel as it grows, great use of my continuing collection of fig tree fabrics. Please!

  67. Helen | 18th Feb 14

My favorite recent patterns of yours are Canned Pears and Cherry Pie and Little Lollies. I think it would be fun to see what you could do with flowers. Maybe bring a fresh look at vintage patterns like Carolina Lily.

  68. BethG. | 18th Feb 14

I like the trend to use large size blocks to make a quilt. It really showcases the beautiful fabric designs.

    Thanks for the giveaway!!

  70. Diann Cornell | 18th Feb 14

I’d like to see a quilt with embroidery as part of it. I’m so into embroidery lately, and I think a lot of others are too.

  71. wendy | 18th Feb 14

I love your bunny and birdy quilts, so more applique and more bunnies! I bet I could pronounce your maiden name, i lived in Poland for 2 years and had to pronounce some very hard names and words!

  72. Susan K | 18th Feb 14

I love your fabrics. I would like to see patterns that use a fat quarter bundle – squares/rectangles – something simple but colorful.

  73. Renee | 18th Feb 14

Your fabrics are simply figilious! Many of your quilts are on my loooong project wish list. This spring I plan to make the pear quilt as I love pears!!! I am interested in learning how to appliqué the Fig Tree way so a quilt pattern with appliqué flowers or paisleys would be fabulous! Dziekuje!

  74. Toni | 18th Feb 14

Not sure if anyone’s said this but I would love a wedding ring quilt! Perhaps one that makes it easy to do 🙂 your fabric would make a beautiful one!

  75. Susan | 18th Feb 14

I love your new fabric line. As always, the colors are beautiful and distinctive. I would love a pattern that uses a lot of flying geese.

  76. Southern Gal | 18th Feb 14

I’m new at this and love pre-cuts. All the color combinations are made for me, plus part of the cutting out process is done. That’s a great thing for a newbie. With that in mind a quilt pattern using charm packs or jelly rolls would be fabulous. Thanks for the chance!

  77. Ingrid Taylor | 18th Feb 14

I would like to see another design for a snuggly quilt for teenagers/young adults or a baby’s cot quilt/ receiving blanket. I discovered your designs through craftsy and I think you are a great teacher too.

  78. Doris | 18th Feb 14

I would love to see a medallion with perhaps a not quite so formal tree of life but, maybe a fig? Or
lots of fanciful fruit from the same tree.
Have little bunnies hopping around below and sampler blocks surrounding. Thanks for all of your fresh fabrics.

  79. Becky S | 18th Feb 14

I would love to see a medallion quilt done in Fig Tree style or a sampler type of quilt- something like your Vintage Farmhouse BOM, but made with a mix of blocks from many of your past Fig Tree patterns. Thanks for the chance to win. I can’t wait to make something with the beautiful Mirabelle fabric.

  80. Dee | 18th Feb 14

I love your fabric and patterns – I would love to see another word quilt – such as “INSPIRE”

  81. Sue Schultz | 18th Feb 14

I love your colors. Would love to see another round table mat quilt option. Your Blossom and Jam pattern is beautiful but would like another round option.

  82. Sally K | 18th Feb 14

Thanks for such a “fabulous” start to the morning. I would love to see some smaller quilts and quilty things made with charm packs and mini charm packs. Although I love your larger quilts sometime I like a “fast” smaller project that I can complete quickly.

  83. Terri M | 18th Feb 14

I love your fabric so soft and nostalgic, what about card trick I come from a family of card players and I think that is a fun block.

  84. Kay | 18th Feb 14

I am a lover of dresdens and hexagons so i would love to see your soft fabrics in some kind of design using either of these. Thank you for a lovely giveaway.

  85. Janice | 18th Feb 14

I love the churn dash block and want to make a quilt using it…just haven’t found the perfect pattern…maybe churn dash blocks with applique? Your fabrics are some of my favorites!! Thanks for the give-a-way 🙂

  86. Jean Kilford | 18th Feb 14

I would love to see something for young children made with your lovely, bright and cheerful fabric. Maybe a height chart or a toy bag?

  87. Pat D | 18th Feb 14

Just love the LOVE YOU MORE quilt. I would like to see some more simple quilts with large alphabet lettrs on it.

  88. Patti | 18th Feb 14

This is a tough decision, as I have two ideas. But I will go with my first and it is a log cabin. I love log cabin blocks and quilts.

  89. Diane H | 18th Feb 14

A ‘quilt as you go’pattern would be great. Thank you for a chance to win your lovely fabrics.

  90. Christa Marcotte | 18th Feb 14

Something new using jelly rolls…like the ‘Race’ but makes a great looking quilt!

  91. Christine | 18th Feb 14

Would love to see something fresh with the apple core block! Something for harvest/apple picking season!! Thank you!

  92. Sherri | 18th Feb 14

I would love to see pieced quilts with applique added. Nothing too complicated, just whimsical and fun. Love your fabric and designs so much!

  93. Lisa | 18th Feb 14

I would love to see a medallion style quilt with lots of different star blocks. It was hard to come up with something, since you have already created many quilts that I love.

  94. Anna | 18th Feb 14

Fabulous, funny, fruitful, fanciful, fresh, focused post. I’m fatigued, so I will force myself to quit. PS, no stars maybe something with fans!

I love block based patterns that create interesting secondary designs!

  96. janet | 18th Feb 14

I have 2 color quilt on my bucket list…your “Love Your MOre” has me inspired. But would like to see more….jmh

  97. Nancy J | 18th Feb 14

I am loving Hexies right now and would love to see mini quilt and sewing projects using them. Grandmother’s Flower Garden would make a wonderful scrappy quilt using your fabric! Thanks for the opportunity to win your giveaway.

  98. Debbie | 18th Feb 14

I would like to do a large Tree Of Life quilt block. It would be cute to have a little bird on it. Thanks

  99. Helen | 18th Feb 14

Something fresh withbflowers and figs maybe

  100. Tracy | 18th Feb 14

I would love to see a pattern for blocks with farmyard animals on them. I am pretty new to quilting and I have no idea if this is possible. Thanks for providing lots of quilt inspiration on your blog.

Your F post was lots of fun to read, and I love how you pieced the F.
As far as a suggestion, how about something with the raw edges like the bullseye but maybe done in flower shapes? But I really like your pieced designs and would love to see something with churn dashes or lots of flying geese.

  102. Becs Terry | 18th Feb 14

I would love a quilt with lots of snowdrops, crocuses and primroses to help us Europeans get through our dreary wet winter.

  103. Karen | 18th Feb 14

there are so many type of patterns that I like but I would love to see something with postage stamp and either embroidery or applique

  104. Gwen | 18th Feb 14

A center applique, surrounded by round robin type blocks
featuring all the different fabrics of the new line.

  105. Taryn Villarreal | 18th Feb 14

I really love the pictorial patterns, like your Painted Ladies, Spools and Stems patterns. I’d love more like those! Jelly roll patterns are my favorite.

  106. Mary Jo Jones | 18th Feb 14

You are such a wonderful designer:) I am thinking something a bit fallish…sunflowers, pumpkins…soft colors. I can see why Moda has you…such talent. Have a Happy Day!

  107. Darlene | 18th Feb 14

I love your fabrics and the wonderful fresh look of any pattern you design with them. I’m Irish and I am longing for spring. My thoughts are trending towards an Irish Chain pattern with maybe a simple applique in the center of each block or a fussy cut would be nice too. I would also love to see this fabric used in a double wedding ring quilt. Thank you so much for your wonderful designs in fabric and patterns. Looking forward to seeing the new ideas.

  108. Tricia F. | 18th Feb 14

A Fig Tree sampler quilt would be so much fun and absolutely beautiful!!

  109. Marsha Ennis | 18th Feb 14

Hi, my father had a passion for persimmons. When i look at your lines of fabric, i can see various shades of persimmons, each with the sweet green leaves. Of course, i realize that this is a very old fashion fruit, but maybe you will be inspired? Love every thing you design, i have some fabric, that i am hoarding, but who knows, maybe i’ll make persimmons? LOL. Marsha

  110. Diane | 18th Feb 14

I particularly love your fruit designs, and I always think of your work whenever I see a quilt that incorporates fruit into the design. How about a sampler quilt that uses a different fruit in each block? And I am completely in love with Mirabelle!!

  111. Laura Taylor | 18th Feb 14

I fell in love with your quilt “Love You More” as, in our household, that is part of a saying that my husband and I have and will say to each other at odd times (but at least every day): one will start with “Love You”, the other will say “Love you more” and then comes “Love you Most”. Some people may think it’s silly, but it’s part of who we are and how we live. We’ve been married 21 years (almost-like in 2 days) and have never had a fight. It’s a second time around for both of us and I guess we learned a thing or two. So, I would love to see a “Love You Most” quilt. Not very imaginative, I suppose, but I would love it. I think other people would too. Thanks for the fun blog!

  112. Janice | 18th Feb 14

I would love to see something retro and 50s.

  113. Tracy H | 18th Feb 14

I love your fabrics and once again love your new Mirabelle! I don’t know how you come up with all your fantastic ideas all the time but they are great! I’ll just leave those to your expertise cause you are so good at it!

  114. Cheryl Fisher | 18th Feb 14

I love your fabrics! the colors and styles are perfect for so many things. I would like to see a quilt pattern that uses a combination of Chevrons and heart or flower blocks (pieced for appliqued)or Dresden. Maybe chevrons around the boarder with the interior of the quilt having the different types of pieced blocks – or Chevrons every third or fourth row with a pieced block between them.

  115. Ann L | 18th Feb 14

I LOVE your colors and style. You and “Bonnie and Camille” are my favorite designers. I look forward to your new fabrics and patterns every market. The type of pattern I would like to see in a new pieced quilt pattern of yours is one where there is not a lot of matching of points to worry about. I am not very good at that and it can be frustrating. I like the way you used a circle to cover up the pinwheel center on one of your patterns (lifesavers?) since I have trouble matching centers. I’m sure you could think of many other ways to design a beautiful quilt without a lot of points to match. 🙂 I look forward to seeing all of your beautiful, creative ideas.

  116. DebrafromMD | 18th Feb 14

I would love some Fig Tree Christmas designs.

  117. Camille Mendel | 18th Feb 14

I love fireflies too. When I lived in Michigan we would sit on our patio and watch the thunderstorms roll in in the late evening and then afterwards the fireflies would come out. It was a metaphor for life-the light that comes after the darkness and storms and that as we gather together the light grows. I would make a quilt that features light and dark, with some sort of wing pattern that symbolize the resiliency of the human spirit to come out after the storm…..Love, love, love your patterns and fabric. Thanks!

  118. Laura | 18th Feb 14

I’d love to see some oversized blocks on a dark solid background. Thanks for the chance!

  119. Nancy of IN | 18th Feb 14

How about a sampler in large blocks.
    Thanks for sharing

  120. Johanna | 18th Feb 14

I would love a new spin on a bear paw block . One of my favorites!

  121. Diane | 18th Feb 14

Love your fabric and designs. I would love to see a quilt pattern made up of appliqued squares in the form of a garden patch with bunnies in one, carrots in another, figs of course and any other fruits, flowers, or veggies. It could have a nice “picket fence” as the border. Oh yummy!

  122. cocoquilts | 18th Feb 14

I love your ability to take a traditional quilt pattern and make it easier to make into a whole quilt. I also love your combination of a traditional block quilt with an appliqué block added, not overwhelming! I would like to see a medallion quilt (english) with appliqué in Fig Tree Style!! I think it would be lovely!!!

  123. Marian | 18th Feb 14

I love the ease of piecing your Lollies. Can you adapt that design into another Fabulous quilt? Can’t wait for the next collection!

  124. Mary C. | 18th Feb 14

I’ve been saving my Tapestry for just the right pattern. Would love to see it done up as a Hunter’s Star, Fig Tree style (easier~!!). I always look forward to your new fabric lines – love them all.

  125. Grammy Sharon | 18th Feb 14

I like many styles of quilts but I always seem to be drawn to the Irish Chain. How about a FRESH new pattern using the Irish chain. It would be lovely with your fabrics (for which I love every collection you do).

  126. Kay | 18th Feb 14

I’m a peace and love kinda girl – recently found a HUGE pattern for a hippy VW wagon – I would love to see some retro patterns – you know – peace, love groovy, cool…..and no I wasn’t a hippy – I just love all that stuff….love all your projects just as they are!

  127. Verna A. | 18th Feb 14

I’ve always wanted to make a sampler quilt and to embroider on a quilt–so maybe something combining the two. And maybe a little applique on the borders. Thanks for the chance to win.

  128. Krislovesfabric | 18th Feb 14

I would like to see a two block quilt with a secondary pattern developed in fig tree syle 🙂

  129. Donna | 18th Feb 14

Your patterns and fabrics are fabulous! You’ve devised pineapple, cherry and pear patterns. Why not another fruit, a delicious peach which is in your colors. I’d buy it in a flash ’cause I live in the “peachy” state of South Carolina. And our peaches are the best.

  130. Ljstemmy | 18th Feb 14

I love your creativity and can’t imagine improving it with my suggestions!

  131. Pam Hunter | 18th Feb 14

I have been following your fabric line for many years. Every time I visit your blog, it is always so very comforting. The colors of your fabrics … warm and cozy. I would love to see something playful – along the lines of childhood days when there wasn’t a care in the world and all was well. My daughter and I would like to make children’s clothing for those who cannot really afford much. Thank you for sharing your amazing talents and creativity! Good luck to all!

    Pam Hunter

  132. Delaine | 18th Feb 14

I am really liking star blocks now, so a pattern incorporating stars would be appreciated. Thanks!

  133. Renee Byrd | 18th Feb 14

I have Hugs already ordered (during your awesome 12 days of Christmas!) and cannot wait for it to arrive…this new fabric line is so lovely! Next pattern? Well, I am not sure…I love blocks, stars, log cabins, applique, you name it…so, you can surprise me!

  134. Karen in breezy point | 18th Feb 14

I’d like to see more of those adorable appliqués!

  135. Cynthia H. | 18th Feb 14

I am really getting into embroidery and fabric/quilts. Something easy and elegant would work for a first one for me….I haven’t jumped in yet as I am cleaning up my unfinished projects before starting a whole new journey.

  136. Tammy R | 18th Feb 14

I love your patterns! I really enjoyed the rooster applique on a kitchen towel pattern you released a while back. I would like to see another type of animal, one that hasn’t been used before (that’s a toughie!) in some sort of quilt block. Thanks for the giveaway!

  137. Emilee | 18th Feb 14

I am loving all the medallion quilts going around the internet these days…could always use the inspiration of another one!

  138. Pat S | 18th Feb 14

I love flying geese (not so great at making them though). A quilt with bright, cheerful geese would be wonderful.

  139. Elizabeth | 18th Feb 14

Your fabrics are always Fresh and Fun to cut. I would like a pieced pattern with applique flowers on it, like the foxglove and freesia you mentioned.

  140. Melanie D | 18th Feb 14

    Mini’s! Love mini quilt patterns!

  141. Virlinda | 18th Feb 14

I’d love to see a pattern with stars and plain white or off white blocks or space to show off beautiful quilting. Love to see the quilting.

  142. ann hudson | 18th Feb 14

Have always loved your style and the fabrics you design for Moda! How about a seashore themed quilt? Beach balls, sand castles, beach umbrellas, sailboats etc?

  143. Maureen | 18th Feb 14

I love scrappy quilts and would love to see a pattern that uses lots of scraps from previous Fig Tree lines.

  144. Melissa Corry | 18th Feb 14

I love all of your patterns. They always match your beautiful fabrics so perfectly and are incredibly creative. I think one of my all time favorites was your Cherry Pie pattern, so I would love a twist on that, maybe a “sampler” of fruits with cherries and you could add in some of your canned pears, and you could add in some new fruits like strawberries or plums, or anything. Oh, and if you did one of your beautiful basket blocks in the center of the quilt, so fun 🙂

  145. Casey | 18th Feb 14

I would love to see a Fig Tree version of an Apple Core quilt!

  146. Diane G | 18th Feb 14

I loved you Halloween quilt last year. I hope you do another.

  147. Ozark Cajun | 18th Feb 14

I am currently intrigued by diamond-shaped log cabin blocks. Patterns are far and few between, and I think this would be a great “new” idea for a Fig Tree pattern!

  148. Tina in Nevada | 18th Feb 14

I would love to see a pattern to make the antique red and white quilt at the Red/White Quilt Show last week. The background is white with red “stars” with points (not sure how to exactly explain it – sorry!) I also love your books and have all of them. I still have the “house” quilt on my list to make (love it!) and I’d love to see some house patterns (don’t know why I’m on a “house” kick lately). And finally, I loved the unexpected pop of navy that was in your Avalon line (and then it seemed that everyone else jumped on the navy bandwagon after you) so I think maybe an unexpected pop of color in one of your lines would be perfect.
P.S. I think your Strawberry Fields line was so very beautiful – I still have some of it and I’m hoarding it like crazy ;o)

  149. MaryD | 18th Feb 14

Would love to have fabric that is based on the Sound of Music favorite things song. Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens, Bright cooper kettles and warm woolen mittens, Cream colored ponies and crisp apple streudels, Doorbells and sleigh bells, wild geese that fly with the moon on their wings….etc.

  150. Kristin | 18th Feb 14

Going with the letter theme, I would love to see a quilt that says “Always Kiss Me Goodnight.” I think it would be beautiful in your fabric lines, and would be great for a big queen size bed or for a baby blanket (if the letters were small enough!)

  151. Frances | 18th Feb 14

I would love to see a snowman playing with a bunny because we have so much snow and the winter has been soooo… long I am sure they will be together for Easter. I think the transition from one season to another is interesting because we run them into each other. How about the Witch riding on the back of Santa’s sleigh ? or Santa ringing in the New Year’s with the New Year Baby ?

  152. Ramona | 18th Feb 14

I would like to see some more quilts with words like Faith,Hope and Love or Live, Laugh, Love or I heart you. Your patterns are so darling and your fabric is gorgeous.

  153. Kim Q | 18th Feb 14

A Churn Dash…skinny ones, chunky ones, all mixed up. What fun!

  154. Doris Rice | 18th Feb 14

Of course samplers are my favorite. I don’t get bored with them. But would probably love anything you do.

  155. Sarah | 18th Feb 14

Your fabrics are gorgeous! I’d love to see a quilt with really large blocks. The look feels so modern to me.

  156. Rebecca S. | 18th Feb 14

I’m a little fascinated by the idea of reversing the solids and patchwork. So, for example, on the carousel quilt all the circles would be the solid, but the background would be the beautiful prints patchworked together in some way. Also, just as a random request, I LOVED the ocean blue you had in California girl. I have been hording my tiniest scraps of it. Please feel free to add that color into a future collection. =)

  157. Denise Cabral | 18th Feb 14

I definitely think you need to make a pattern of a Fig tree with some freckle faced kids frolicking by it!

  158. Laurel | 18th Feb 14

I like the idea of something for autumn. I can’t wait for my pear kit to arrive and the other fruit quilts have been luscious.

  159. Lorraine | 18th Feb 14

I wish there were more patterns using the hexagonal precuts!

  160. Lynda | 18th Feb 14

I would like to see any quilt pattern that comes out of that creative mind of yours! Love, love, love anything Fig Tree!

  161. Bethany M | 18th Feb 14

What a lovely post! I would love to see a paper pieced quilt pattern, I have been wanting to learn how to paper piece. You Love You More quilt is absolutely fabulous, I have to make that for my sister!!

  162. Susie B | 18th Feb 14

I have never eaten a Fig but you have enticed me to try them. I love your fabric colors and that each collection goes with the next new collection. I believe I have made at least 5 of your quilts and/or table toppers/runners. Mostly given as gifts though. I enjoy working on patterns that have a finished 7 to 8 inch block. I use kits as a way to stretch my colors and techniques. They are great for retreat projects. You always know that the fabrics will work well together. Would you think about doing something that would be a little patriotic. Your colors are so soft to the eyes but still have a punch when you see them together.

  163. Heartsdesire | 18th Feb 14

I would love to see an old fashioned Wedding Ring quilt. Your fabrics always remind me of something soft and vintage.

  164. Jacklynn Grimm | 18th Feb 14

I would like to see a quilt pattern with oversized blocks. I like to make quilts, table runners and wall hangings, so a variety of patterns would interest me. Thanks for the give away!

  165. Paulette Doyle | 18th Feb 14

I am a fan of quilts that can be made small or big and the pattern accommodates this!! I also love baskets and sprays of berries…just saying’
Thanks for the sweet chance to win your give away!!
    Paulette

  166. Karen M | 18th Feb 14

I would love to see a star pattern. I know there are a lot of them around, but it always amazes me how different each looks. Think about stars. Thanks for the chance to win.

  167. Misty West | 18th Feb 14

I would love to make a quilt using your mason jars from you towels. I am obsessed with mason jars right now….especially the teal/turquoise ones, new and vintage!

  168. Debbie | 18th Feb 14

I am always in the lookout for quilts with evergreen trees in it as my husband has an evergreens business as his second occupation. Masculine quilt patterns are also something I would like to see more of. I am a fan of yours and have ordered many kits books and fabric from you. My house is decorated using your color schemes. Thanks for sharing your creativity.

  169. Brenda | 18th Feb 14

I love your Fabric lines – every Fabulous one! I would love to see a mini quilt with stars as the main theme. I like intricate patterns, and if you layer on a little needle turn applique, so much the better!

    Thanks for the Fantastic posts!

  170. Dawn Cornell | 18th Feb 14

I love miniature quilt designs and Dresden Plate is one of my favorite blocks and your fabric is perfect for both

  171. Monica P | 18th Feb 14

i would love a wedding ring quilt pattern, or variation of one. i always want to make one, but just cannot find a pattern to inspire me. the Mirabelle fabrics look perfect for the wedding ring pattern or variation and you are wonderfully talented at creating simple patterns of vintage designs!

  172. Dolores | 18th Feb 14

How about something new and Fresh with the wonderful nine patch? A good all-time Favourite.

  173. Susan | 18th Feb 14

I love traditional patterns….and I am always partial to the churn dash block. I don’t have a clue why but whenever I see a quilt pattern with the churn dash, I want to make it. But all of your patterns are great! Thanks for the chance to win some beautiful Mirabelle!

  174. Mary Versailles | 18th Feb 14

I just love all your colors and I think the next market is in the fall, for which I think they are perfect. So part of me wants to say leaves, or pumpkins, or how about figs even. But actually, for my own style a simple log cabin might be best.

  175. Sherrill | 18th Feb 14

Since I have virtually no imagination whatsoever and YOU are the wonderful designer, I’ll let you come up with the design and just put me in for the wonderful giveaway! HA Thanks so much!

  176. Chrys | 18th Feb 14

I have currently been fascinated by dresdens!

  177. Brenda Hulsey | 18th Feb 14

I would like to see something in the line of summer play. Like kites, picnic or games.

  178. Lindsay | 18th Feb 14

I love charm square quilts and smaller, baby or child sizes. Thanks for the chance to win!

  179. barbara corbitt | 18th Feb 14

i have quilted for over forty years. all of my quilts are hand pieced, hand quilted, and donated. so i would love to see more big block quilt patterns so i could make more quilts faster. i know i know using a machine even for just the piecing would be quicker, but hand work is so relaxing to me and it gives me time to mediate and be thankful for everything in life. so glad you grew from figlets to a fig tree. any chance you figlets will follow in your footsteps? babscorbitt@gmail.com

  180. Anne of Walden Woods | 18th Feb 14

I awfully fond of Freckles myself – Freckles my beagle that is! Your red & white quilt show was inspired – and could be classified as FANTASTIC AND FABULOUS AND FINE. The quilts were wonderful – I wish I’d been able to see them in person. Congratulations and thank you for the inspiration.

  181. Cindi P | 18th Feb 14

I believe your fabrics would make a beautiful double wedding ring or grandmother’s flower garden quilts. Thanks for the chance to win!

  182. Marianne | 18th Feb 14

How about stars within stars in a block that finishes large, 18 to 24 inches or so.

  183. Sherryl | 18th Feb 14

Ooooh fun. A great blog hop AND a mystery giveaway! Awesome. Here’s my dilemma. My dear sister loves all things Day of the Dead, but she also loves all things girly. So what kind of quilt can I make her? Can YOU create a Day of the Dead pattern that’s girly? Go ahead – I dare you!

  184. Carol Feye | 18th Feb 14

I would love to see a fun tablerunner, preferably using a foundation piecing technique.

  185. Joan | 18th Feb 14

I love your appliqué patterns. Just made the chicken tea towels for my sister, as she will be getting a coop and chickens this spring.

  186. Nancy Stevens | 18th Feb 14

I’m starting to get hooked on samplers. As a busy mom who also owns her own business i’ve been thinking about doing a sampler quilt—i can finish a block or two easily in a day and feel like i really accomplished something.
    LOVE your fabric

    Nancy

  187. Linda King | 18th Feb 14

How about a folksy paper doll type boy and girl. You could add in a dollhouse, dog, cat and other things from our playing with doll house days!

  188. Kay Mc | 18th Feb 14

I would like to see a medallion quilt with a basket in the middle. Can’t wait to get some of your new fabric to start playing with it.

  189. Wendy | 18th Feb 14

I would love to see a quilt pattern that uses supersized blocks (maybe a rolling stone block supersized?) But really, anything made out of your fabric is gorgeous!!! Thanks for the chance to win!

  190. Patricia Ojeda | 18th Feb 14

I love your fabrics and patterns! I would love to see pinwheels with flowers and bunnies! And maybe some figs?

    Please respond to email:

  191. Lynne Sales | 18th Feb 14

I would love to use these fabrics to make a quilt to commemorate the friendship of a group of college friends. We are ten women who met in the late 70’s while attending a women’s college. Fast forward many years later and we gather together once a year, usually at someone’s home for a long weekend and laugh ( sometimes cry) and talk the entire time. With our children ( mostly) grown, we now have time to reconnect, and we always end up on a porch sharing life’s stories ( motto: what’s said on the porch, stays on the porch). So…..a quilt that evokes friendship ( friendship stars? ), porches , warmth and laughter!
Thanks for letting us offer inspirations for your creative genius. Can’t wait to see what you offer up next!
    Lynne Sales

  192. cynthia | 18th Feb 14

I would love to see something pickledish-ish!

  193. Jennifer Creech | 18th Feb 14

  199. Susan Stanton | 18th Feb 14

Your new line, Mirabelle, is gorgeous. The colors are perfect. I can’t wait to get my hands on some of that. I’d like to see some mini quilt designs that are modern and fresh. Sometimes I just don’t want to make a large quilt, but would love to hang up a cute mini on the wall.

  200. kathleen waldron | 18th Feb 14

I think that you should create a FIREFLY pattern. I will leave the creating part to you! Also, have you made a FIG quilt….that fruit matches your colorways so well!!! FUN to play along with you…
    Kathleen

  201. Jan | 18th Feb 14

I love all your fabrics and have several collections. The patterns of yours that I like best use lots of the prints and make simple quilts look more complex. My favorites are the Lollipops, Little Lollies, Blossom and Jam, Butterscotch Tarts.
I like how you take more complicated patterns and find a simple way to make them. Fast and beautiful results!

  202. Betty Woodlee | 18th Feb 14

Others have mentioned fig trees and I think this is an excellent idea. Also include blocks with the fruit whole and sliced to get that beautiful rosy color.

  203. Nita | 18th Feb 14

I have 6 nephews aged 15 to 25. I would love to make them each a quilt, but am having a terrible time thinking of quilts to make for them, especially the teen boys. I would love your next pattern to be specially geared for the 15 -17 year old boy. Thanks!

  204. Tina V | 18th Feb 14

I love appliqué and also your fabric and figs. Was taken with the cute little gnomes and mushrooms on your tins. I love mushrooms! Would be great to have an appliqué pattern and fabrics for a fanciful forest floor scene complete with fairies, gnomes and elves – and mushrooms, of course!

  205. Holly R. Moore | 18th Feb 14

Thanks for the chance to win. Love the new line. It looks like your last fig photo. :). Beautiful! I would love to see a frilly Christmas pattern with easy appliqué. Maybe a snowy homey cabin and a cute little snowman. The lyrics from I’ll be home for Christmas come to mind… “I’m dreaming tonight of a place I love, even more than I usually do…” Something sweet and vintage feeling to lend itself to your lovely fabrics.

  206. Susan | 18th Feb 14

I am always looking for something musical or computer technical theme.

  207. Kathy | 18th Feb 14

I love all your fabrics. Mirabelle fits so well for Spring and Summer. How about a Drunkards Path Block?
I love your Spools pattern. It is so versatile, fun, fresh and fantastic.
    Feeling lucky…
    Thank you…

  208. Carol Sc | 18th Feb 14

I really enjoyed seeing the red and white quilts. I think I would make the Fresh Laundry pattern scrappy with your fresh springy fabrics.

  209. Mary Elizabeth VonDras | 18th Feb 14

I absolutely love your postcard applique series. It’s the graphic design coupled with whimsey, nostalgia that I find totally unique on the pattern market today. I’d love to see a similar series of small sized applique projects that present messages about “whole hearted living,” authenticity, eating clean and green, global peace & equality—the type of ideas/visuals that I’d like to hang up where my kids will see them, and reflect both on the value of taking the time to make things by hand, of how a thoughtful design can impart meaning on several levels, and on a belief that no matter what the world news brings, home is where we draw on hope, vision and support to make a civic difference. A highschool classmate, now scholar, just published a book with a catchy title that would be a fine starting point for design inspiration: “We are the ones we’ve been seeking!” (maybe too esoteric, but the underlying idea is “yes we can!”)

  210. amyt | 18th Feb 14

I love strip style quilts and anything made with Jelly Rolls because as a working mom, that seems to be what I can quickly work with. I love Jelly Roll patterns!
I love the color pallettes that you have. They are so just so beautiful.

  211. marcella | 18th Feb 14

I love how you make complex patterns so do-able. One pattern than has been on my to do list for years and years is the pickle dish. Think you can simplify that one? Maybe something inspired by that traditional pattern?

  212. Heather Braun | 18th Feb 14

I cannot wait for your new line! I would love to see a Fig Tree medallion quilt! It would be a fun quilt along. Or a Fig Tree family tree. You could hand stitch the names into the branches. Would give the branch a wood grain detail. And of course fruit hanging from the branches. It would make a nice quilt for a newlyweds. I can’t wait to see what you come up with next!!

  213. Tiffany | 18th Feb 14

Just out of curiosity, do you have any patterns with figs in them yet?

  214. denise clason | 18th Feb 14

I would love to see you design something with the britches block.

  215. Sharon P. | 18th Feb 14

Thank you for a chance to win!

  218. Sandy D | 18th Feb 14

Love your fabrics. I like pieced blocks around 10 or 12 inches. Maybe a traditional block in your fabric line like a Flying KIte pattern.

  219. Lisa LeBlanc | 18th Feb 14

This new line is so beautiful and soft. It definitely reminds me of spring and flowers. I would love to see this line sewn up in a pattern with baskets! 🙂
    Thanks!
    Lisa LeBlanc

  220. Pat | 18th Feb 14

Fabric Fun! (Two of my Favorite words.)

Mirabelle looks like Fabulous Fabric Fun. The lacy stripe is so very Fine! I like the new Carousel pattern.

Your Urban Indigo is my favorite all time fabric line. I have a small stash looking for the perfect pattern but the right one has not been Found yet. So I Fondle the Fabric from time to time and muse. I am thinking of something with a large block design that will show off the fabrics and want to use the blues for background. I have considered a Carpenter’s Star but I have made this before and want something new. I would love to see a new variation of this type of pattern in a new or old Fig Tree Fabric.
Thanks for sharing and the chance to win … <3 Pat

  221. Julie T | 18th Feb 14

  226. welchrobin@hotmail.com | 18th Feb 14

I would love to see something creative with those orange peel blocks…. maybe that alternates w/ a pieced block, or something. I also love star quilts. But I like simple so that your fabric prints really stand out. I’m really into the color navy lately, too, and I think it’s a great compliment to your usual color palette. I just love everything you design– thank you for the continued inspiration!

I think a flower block would be awesome !!! I a looking forward to Mirabelle as well, it looks Fabulous !

  228. Sharon A. | 18th Feb 14

Your fabrics have that vintage but fresh feel, which would make one gorgeous double wedding ring quilt. A touch of appliqué somewhere on the quilt would make it spectacular! I know you can do it, as you are a wonderful designer and have a vision for these things. Waiting patiently for this quilt to appear…thanks, Joanna, love it all.

  229. Lana Drum | 18th Feb 14

I love your fabrics and the way they make you feel — happy! A block with a leaf shape. A block of a medium size and one that shows off your fabrics and is an easy quilt to make. Love your fabrics!!! Lana

    Charlotte S.

  232. Amy | 18th Feb 14

Fabric is my most favorite thing on the planet. Can’t get enough of it. And your fabrics are, by far, my favorite. I have a hard time cutting into them because I just can’t stand to break up the bundle. As for a new quilt pattern, I like anything that’s vintage quilting……grandmothers flower garden comes to mind.

  233. Christine Brown | 18th Feb 14

Some years ago I made a Christmas Quilt from one of your kits, it was all flying geese in your beautiful greens and reds. I don’t remember the name. I would love to have you do another Christmas Quilt like that one. Chrisitne

  237. Miss Jean | 18th Feb 14

Have you done a wedding ring quilt? Or an Americana quilt with a large flag?

  240. Liz Rehrauer | 18th Feb 14

I’m getting excited about BIG block quilts. I’m not a fan of anything smaller than 2 1/2 inches. The bigger the better.

  241. Tamie | 18th Feb 14

I lean towards modern design but love, love all the vintage patterns with small squares such as the one going around the internet right now called the Tone it Down Quilt. It was in American Patchwork and Quilting. I have loved seeing all the different versions.

  242. Briana Galbreath | 18th Feb 14

I love the vintage-y feel of your fabrics. I think something ‘older’ like Grandma’s garden or fan would be beautiful. I also think Dresden plates would be amazing in your fabric.

I would love to see something dandelion inspired. I love them and I think you could come up with something beautiful to do them justice!

  244. Libmousa | 18th Feb 14

  249. janita | 18th Feb 14

Such a mini craze for the “economy blocks” AKA Square in a square right now. I loved your red and white quilts, how about another 2 color combo pattern.
Thank you for all the FUN!
    janita

  250. Rae R | 18th Feb 14

  252. Kathy McDonald | 18th Feb 14

First, I want to let you know how much I am enjoying working with your beautiful Avalon fabric in the Fat Quarter Shop’s 2013 Designer BOM quilt. Oh, how I love that fabric! And the blocks have been so much fun to put together. I love your quilt designs. If I could wish for a new pattern, it would be one with house blocks (and no applique – I just don’t enjoy that like I do piecing). And I will definitely be watching for Mirabelle to come to the quilt shops.

  253. Mary Wolter | 18th Feb 14

Something vintage and scrappy without a lot of HSTs!

  254. Jane B | 18th Feb 14

I really love your Carousel pattern. I can see it in many scraps like color wheels. I adore fabric, too. New fabric coming warm from the dryer is a favorite sensation! Any pattern with many tiny pieces is what I really like.

  265. Katie Cohagen | 18th Feb 14

I just recently finished piecing a quilt top for my aunt and the blocks make up giant sunflowers with stems and leaves. A gorgeous large flower block with your lighter colored fabric would be absolutely gorgeous! Thanks for the giveaway!

I have always loved the courthouse step block however when I look at the quilts I’ve made, I apparently love the Buckeye Beauty block even more as I see I’ve made it over and over in various styles. It would be fun to see Fig Tree fabrics in that block.

I love any patterns with houses and pinwheels!

  286. Karen B | 18th Feb 14

I’m into patterns that take you by surprise when the blocks come together, so something with a surprise secondary pattern would be great. Oh yeah, and optical illusions! I just love the pictures you posted of figs above. The colors really caught my attention today. something figgy, like a repeating teardrop, or something with a value shift from the center to the outside, would get my vote too.

  287. Kristin S. | 18th Feb 14

Hello from Minnesota! (Loved you post.) I’m a big fan of house quilts and my favorite traditional block is the little red schoolhouse. I’d love to see a house or houses pattern by you.

Since you mentioned chickens, fairy tales, and different flowers…how about something applique featuring anything along those ideas.

I love stars, but would love help with a wedding ring quilt

  296. Diane Steele | 18th Feb 14

Thanks for a chance to win some fabric.

  302. Shannon | 18th Feb 14

One of my goals is to make an irish chain quilt so this fabric might work itself into one of those!!

  322. Cheya | 18th Feb 14

I love your pattern Figgy Pudding and wish it was still available. I’ve only seen a picture and can’t find it to buy. I love fabric with writing and postage related items – time stamp, stamps, etc. as you showed with your letter F.

  323. Katherine Schaffer | 18th Feb 14

would love to see Fig Tree BOM — maybe a Fig of the Month”
theme for a year? Since you’d love to be a farm girl, how about a different Fruit or veggie every month? Or maybe let folks create a Veggie OR a fruit block quilt— bet you could run with this!

  324. Betsy L. | 18th Feb 14

I like the idea of a sampler quilt, but I think it should have a California Farm theme. There are so many different things grown and raised in California. Your fabric colors are perfect for that. Of course you would need a house and barn, fence, and fruit and nut trees and grapes and sunshine…!

  325. Wanda | 18th Feb 14

I would love to see a lovely Fig inspired sampler quilt. I love your fabric lines!

  326. Joyce Mitchell | 18th Feb 14

  330. Miranda | 18th Feb 14

Sorry what was the question? The figs distracted me!! Candy Cane figs! Yum! Quilts..anything bright and yummy!!

  331. Joanna | 18th Feb 14

You’ve probably already done a fig quilt, but that’s what I thought of first. They really are cute shapes. I can see a circle of figs for a cross shape. I love your color sense.

  332. Linda Enslow | 18th Feb 14

I would love to see a sampler quilt with your new line of fabricks or a quilt made out of grandma’s blocks.

  333. Sarah | 18th Feb 14

I love your Mirabelle line – the color combinations are soft and amazing. What I’d love to see you do in a quilt is to use all printed fabrics from your line and no solids. I know that the solids make the design stand out, but some lines have such lovely prints that I hate to have any spaces taken up with a solid.

  334. Brenda | 18th Feb 14

The first thing that comes to mind when I see the letter F is Friends.
I have met many wonderful people since I First learned to quilt.
Fruit bars(orange, lemon and lime) would showcase your beautiful
Mirabelle fabric. A fun summer quilt!

  335. Claudia | 18th Feb 14

I love collecting your postage stamps. I’d like to see another stamp with your trademark fig.

  336. Marcia | 18th Feb 14

I love traditional patterns. How about a pickle dish. I think they are so pretty.

  338. Siobhan | 18th Feb 14

I think my favorite pattern for you to come up with would be a medallion style quilt. I think that would be magical in Fig colors, too.

Thanks for the chance to win!

  339. Peta P | 18th Feb 14

Loving the love you more pattern. What a great idea.

  340. Karen Smith | 18th Feb 14

I think a farmer’s wife quilt with all your fabrics would be beautiful! I’ve had that on my mind to do but first collect fabric for it then just try to do block a week:)

  341. CJ Reed | 18th Feb 14

Oh my — what do I wish to see in quilting. How about a Nutcracker for Christmas ! Hope I win you beautiful fabrics !

  342. charlotte | 18th Feb 14

I have a quilt top I created with a jelly roll of your Gypsy Rose line a number of years ago. It was my first ever jelly roll and I am finally going to quilt it. I would love to see a Fig Tree jelly roll quilt with a bit of style to it, not like the jelly roll race quilts etc. I want to do more with jelly rolls.

  343. Debbie | 18th Feb 14

I like Snowball and Wedding Ring quilts, although I know Wedding Ring quilt patterns are rather difficult to make. Your pretty fabrics would be Pretty in any pattern!

I love all of the soft colors with Fig tree fabrics. Another basket quilt would be lovely but all quilts with your fabric look wonderful!

  347. Mary Ann | 18th Feb 14

Loving the new quilts……I am so bad at thinking up a design for a quilt that the only idea I have is to keep it simple. I am finding I don’t like a lot of tiny pieces to put together. Make something with Layer Cakes…….I love all the Moda pre-cuts…..

  348. Elaine Satterfield | 18th Feb 14

How about something in pinks and greens with white. I had a request for a baby quilt with these colors and couldn’t find a thing!

  349. Amy DeCesare | 18th Feb 14

    I would love to see a whole-cloth quilting pattern for a baby quilt, with a pieced backing. {I know, I know, just flip over a regular quilt…but I think the larger prints in your lines should have top billing!}

  350. Wendy | 18th Feb 14

Think I would like to see something unusual but cute, maybe something somewhat “magical” like little figish animals with gnomes and fairies. The coloring of most of your fabrics would lend to the fun factor of this. Thanks!

  351. Laura B | 18th Feb 14

I would love to see anything that uses the orange peel type of shape.

  352. Pat wade | 18th Feb 14

I would like a modern pattern that would look good quilted on my home machine using a walking foot

  353. Paula K. | 18th Feb 14

Love, love all your fabrics and patterns! I would like to see another “stamp” pattern – perhaps using a kitty of some sort. We cat-lovers are so easy to please, just put a cat on it. We’ll adore it!

  354. Mary Jo | 18th Feb 14

I love any pieced quilt! Sometimes the simple blocks are prettiest, with complicated prints, and sometimes the complicated blocks with simple prints, are prettiest! I love them all, as long as they are traditional!

  355. Kim M | 18th Feb 14

I’ve been wanting to do something with Dresdens and I need some Spring in the air after this dreary winter.

How about a quilt that uses various Dresdens to make flowers / a garden?

  356. Pam S | 18th Feb 14

Appliqued flowers would be wonderful in your fabric. Thanks for the fun!

  357. Mercedes | 18th Feb 14

I would like you design some fabric in red and blue odd flowers, adding greys and golden yellows, a range of colours of Civil War , but in an Victorian Style.

  358. Ashley G | 18th Feb 14

Something precut friendly and block style. Love your fabric and patterns!

  359. Debbie H | 18th Feb 14

Something with hexies. I’m obsessed with them. A pretty modern quilt or a sweet baby quilt. Or a tote bag or pillowcase.

  360. Jennifer | 18th Feb 14

Cannot come up with anything better than your Cherries pattern, I just love it. Stars would be my next choice. Mirabelle is so lovely!

  361. angie | 18th Feb 14

Would love to make an ABC sampler quilt with the giveaway! Thanks for the inspiration…

  362. Lee | 18th Feb 14

I always thought a fruit stand applique quilt would be very pretty with your fabrics! My husband and father in law grow apples, pears and peaches so I thought that would be fun to do! Love you new line! thank you!

  363. Traci Lunsford | 18th Feb 14

I actually asked my husband what he thought because I have a hard time finding “masculine” patterns for the men in my family. He likes quilts with medallions in the middle, so maybe something like that?

  364. Amy Harward | 18th Feb 14

I would love to see you make mini versions of your quilts/quilt blocks! I love them as wall hangings around the house.

  365. Dora Dis | 18th Feb 14

I would love to see some mini style quilts, , for example Blossoms from the book With fabric and Thread. Also more postagestyle quilts. But I love everything Fig tree anyway !

  366. Lynne Tilley | 18th Feb 14

I would like to see a pattern using more jelly rolls. I know there are lots of patterns out there, but I would really like to see more. Thanks so much for this blog hop, so much fun. Thanks for the great giveaway. I’m a big fan of yours!

  367. Kim C | 18th Feb 14

I love all of your creativity! I have a thing for sheep and would love to see you do a lovely pattern with sheep!!!! Thanks for all you do!

  368. Joan H. | 18th Feb 14

How about a twister pattern with a spring flowering garden look to it?

  369. Elin | 18th Feb 14

I would love to see a basket quilt, I’ve been waiting for the right basket quilt pattern to come along and collect ideas on Pinterest but I still haven’t found the right pattern that appeals to me, most of the basket blocks out here are set on point but how about a basket blocks that are not set on point? I also love everything with snowmen and it must be a challenge to use Fig Tree fabrics for winter themed quilts and projects …would love to see what you can come up with, maybe something with winter birds and tree blocks. the new trend seems to be all about modern, simple and quick but I always fall for patterns that combine pieced blocks and applique.

  370. Margaret Parks | 18th Feb 14

Beautiful fabric line and I love your F block.
I would love to see a pattern with a retro or vintage look.
    cheers
    maggie

  371. Allison C | 18th Feb 14

I think an abacus quilt would be really cool.

  372. Debbie | 18th Feb 14

Since I’m into using my new embroidery machine for applique, I think I’d like to try a Dresden plate with an applique design in the center of the circle. 🙂

  373. Cecilia | 18th Feb 14

I enjoyed reading your favorite F things. Mirabelle is gorgeous! I would love to see it in an old fashioned star log cabin design. Thanks for the fun hop.

  374. Jeanmarie | 18th Feb 14

I am loving circles and hexagons right now. Maybe something with both!

  375. Carol Y | 18th Feb 14

A pieced block of the month-style quilt would be fun.

  376. Patti | 18th Feb 14

I’d love to see some quilt patterns that utilize precuts!

  377. Patty D | 18th Feb 14

Love your fabric – any quilt pattern would be great!

  378. linda newman | 18th Feb 14

I would like patterns with a puzzle aspect, whether an Irish/Celtic chain, overlapping shapes that make something interesting, Escher-like patterns.

  379. Marlene | 18th Feb 14

I love the scrappy look – anything scrappy is good for me. As for a pattern…I love the old tried and true blocks done in new ways. I’m not sure how designers go about doing that, which is why I could never be a designer, but I love seeing them. blessings, marlene

  380. Aggiequilter | 18th Feb 14

Look forward to seeing Mirabelle, there hasn’t been a line of yours that I don’t love …
I would love to see a big Sunflower design, it could work so well in your colorways. Thanks for the chance to win!!

  381. pam j. | 18th Feb 14

Fantastic color combinations. A kaleidoscope pattern quilt would be beautiful.

  382. Joan | 18th Feb 14

Your fabric lines are gorgeous. Love all the beautiful colours! I love dresden plates and hexies.

  383. Melanie C | 18th Feb 14

A jelly roll pattern would be great! I keep collecting them, but don’t seem to use them 🙂

  384. HeatherK | 18th Feb 14

I’m relatively new to the quilting scene, so everything is new to me right now. I love traditional quilts with a twist. I’d love to see a pattern that incorporates both handwork and machine skills. I know that’s not purist, but I enjoy both and have yet to really see them married into one project. Thanks for all the F-U-N!

  385. Jo | 18th Feb 14

I would enjoy seeing a easy Cathedral Window quilt with a dark background to show off the fabrics

  386. Amanda Cook | 18th Feb 14

I’d like to see more postage stamp patterns like the ones you have!

  387. Ella | 18th Feb 14

A tree sampler, with lots of botanical goodies.

  388. Tracy Bygate | 18th Feb 14

I want to see, large colorful and easy! I love your fabric but I am a beginner and need easy.

  389. Catherine | 18th Feb 14

The word that comes to my mind that begins with ‘F’ is FABULOUS, which is how I feel about Fig Tree! Your fabric collections are always gorgeous, as are your quilt designs! I would love to see a fun star block in a future quilt. Thank you for creating such beautiful quilts for all of us to enjoy.

  390. A Beck | 18th Feb 14

I love, love love the love you more then…quilts! Red and cream our my favorite colored quilts they remind me of old barns in the east!

  391. Lyn | 18th Feb 14

How about a fig table runner…appliqued blocks, pieced border….one block a freshly picked fig, one a fig branch budding out at the tip, with a leaf or two, another a fig sliced open…

  392. Marjorie | 18th Feb 14

Vintage look in green, yellow, grey and lavender or purple. Simple design with lots of white background – I like the floating look maybe the twisted blocks – snails? kinda like the barrel of monkey guys hanging out together…floating down the fabric of the quilt.

  393. jmniffer | 18th Feb 14

I love how your new fabrics make me think of Spring…it has been a LONG winter here in Minnesota. I love patterns using 1.5 or 2 inch squares…whether a multitude of similar blocks Granny Squares for example, or a theme like flowers in a garden or a group of hanging ornaments. Thanks for sharing and for the chance at your giveaway.

  394. Mary Beth | 18th Feb 14

I would love to see a pattern with thimble or tumbler pieces. I love you color palette.

  395. stacey larson | 18th Feb 14

I would love to see something with dogs/puppies. I usually see cats and kittens but something with an umbrella and dog/puppy would be really cute.

  396. DeAnna Dodson | 18th Feb 14

    Oooh, I’d love a birds/flowers/fruit applique project.

    LOVE your fabric lines!

  397. Raquel Goyen | 18th Feb 14

I know you have the adorable birds on stamps, but I would LOVE to see a line with birds or a quilt pattern. Birds are cheery and timeless. LOVE Mirabelle!

  398. Dana Haskell | 18th Feb 14

I like samplers done with appliqued blocks as well as pieced blocks. Maybe something with French motifs, along with vintage pieced blocks mixed in. A medallion quilt might be nice with basket blocks or different techniques mixed in one quilt (like some hexagons or diamonds done with English paper piecing and then scattered across). I’m sure anything you do will be gorgeous.

  399. Kristin | 18th Feb 14

What about an applique project of vintage crate labels using your lovely fabric? You are so creative it would be an amazing project!

  400. Angie | 18th Feb 14

This question is exactly why I don’t design quilts and love following patterns. I agree that sampler quilt with some of your favorite blocks would be fun!

  401. Liza Schultz | 18th Feb 14

I love your sense of color. Each new line is prettier than the last. I think it would be fun to have something with lemon and blue berry colors in a celestial theme.

  402. Rina | 18th Feb 14

I would love to see a pattern that reminds me of falling swirling autumn leaves.

  403. Jackie | 18th Feb 14

Fabulous new line, congrats to you! Love love love it!
I would like to see granny squares, i think would be wonderful!

  404. Cathy | 18th Feb 14

How about a fruit salad quilt. Something with figs, pears, berries….an assortment of fruits and maybe toss in a little bird to the mix. It would be fresh and summery!

    Cathy ♥

  405. Robin W | 18th Feb 14

Let’s see – a pattern that utilizes precuts, and one without HSTs! Haha I just finished a quilt with LOTS of triangles and I’m ready for fast and easy. Thanks for the giveaway.

  414. Tanya Quilts in CO | 18th Feb 14

I would love an embroidery pattern or maybe a door banner!

  415. Kathy Hines | 18th Feb 14

I would like to see a fresh idea using larger size hexagons to showcase each individual fabric because each color and pattern of your fabrics are so pretty by themselves, a way to enjoy working with all of them in your fabric line would be great fun!

  416. lisa m | 18th Feb 14

I love the hugs and carousel–a classic style block with tons of negative space for quilting, so more like that please!

  417. Sherie | 18th Feb 14

I love all of the Fig Tree fabrics! I would like to see Irish chain, Jacob’s ladder, Broken dishes, Log Cabin, Court House steps. Vintage patterns.

  422. MaryBeth | 18th Feb 14

Your fabrics have such a lovely warmth to them. Thanks for the giveaway. I’d love to see something that uses big hexagons in a new way.

  423. MaryBeth | 18th Feb 14

Your fabrics have such a lovely warmth to them. Thanks for the giveaway. I’d love to see something using big hexagons in a new way.

  424. Janet T | 18th Feb 14

I am partial to the Goose Tracks pattern.

  425. Melanie D. | 18th Feb 14

I’d love to see some sort of large zigzag pattern with some neat applique! I can just see it now! These fabrics would also make a fabulous spring/summer bag! Thank you for the giveaway and the inspiration!

  426. Nancy | 18th Feb 14

Your fabrics are usually done with such pretty colors that I think you should do your next quilt in larger traditional blocks with some applique like flowers and cute little birds in the border, and call it “Spring Fling”. Then you can get really ambitious and follow up with one for each of the other seasons.

  427. Martha C. | 18th Feb 14

Your beautiful Mirabelle Line would be great in a garden/fruit related motif. After the terrible, gray winter most of us has had, what a beautiful quilt it will make. Love your cherries and pear quilt – something that continues those or similar themes. Thanks!

  428. Susan K. | 18th Feb 14

It would make a bright and cheery Log Cabin.

  429. Janan | 18th Feb 14

Wow, I love all your letter F thoughts. You did it of course, my favorite is Fabric! I think you should design a large 4 block applique quilt. . . .maybe some sort of large flower pattern. . . . and of course design it with our F word,
    “Favorite” color, orange fabric!
Maybe 4 big blocks of daisies
Maybe 4 big blocks of sunflowers
Maybe 4 big blocks of baskets with flowers

  430. Jayne | 18th Feb 14

  432. Kris Dauth | 18th Feb 14

I’m currently hooked on anything with applique on it so I think it would be awesome to see a new Fig Tree pattern with some applique on it. Love Mirabelle!!! Can’t wait to get my hands on some! Thank you for the inspiration your provide for all of us quilters.

I think a sampler quilt with a bunch of the blocks from your other quilts would be fab. Thanks for the chance to win

  442. Susan | 18th Feb 14

It might be fun to see some of the older patterns revised such as: Clay’s Choice, Broken Dishes, Jacob’s Ladder, Drunkards Path etc. where you would be able to make better pattern pieces with the rotary etc – compared to how patterns used to be make with cardboard pieces/newspapers etc.

I really love Aneela Hoey’s pattern choice of “Arkansas Traveler” and I have seen many different ways to do it. But my favorite choice is a pattern called French Star and it’s in one of my old books. If you google it, you will find many variations. I can email you the one I would choose – if you like. We all seem to love France!

All of your fabric choices are soooo wonderful. I do love blues and reproduction fabrics… but I have bought most of your lines in some shape or form and they are all “Fantastic”. Thanks so much for the chance to win!

  446. Susan Haase | 18th Feb 14

Appliqué postcards for all the seasons like the small stamp quilts you have here. Your quilts are beautiful.

  447. Karen Shackleford | 18th Feb 14

How about more fruit. Love the cherries and pear quilts. And baskets are always wonderful, but I know you’ve done a few of those already. But can you have enough basket quilts?? Thank for all your gorgeous fabrics and designs.

  454. Janell Bradley | 18th Feb 14

Gosh, there are lots of great comments already; but since I’m into English Paper Piecing of late, something using charms of the new Mirabelle line would be fun – esp. since here in the Midwest we’re buried under 3-1/2 ft. of snow on the ground and there’s a blizzard on the way Thurs. The colors of spring would be so welcome! Love your fabrics & your site! I haven’t seen the tins, yet – oh, so cute!

  455. Lou | 18th Feb 14

I would love to see a seasonal sampler–maybe 4 large squares, one for each season? Or 4 rows of blocks depicting a season in each row. Love the new Mirabelle collection and can’t wait to see more.

  456. Brooke | 18th Feb 14

I am going to totally snag someone else’s idea, but I am way into samplers right now. So a sampler quilt would be excellent!

  462. Mary | 18th Feb 14

Guess I will have to leave the ideas to others for what type of quilting they would like to see. There isn’t any particular one in my thinking cap at the moment to suggest. However, pinwheels seem to be a favorite of mine. I could make scrappy with my fabrics.

  463. Terri Staats | 18th Feb 14

I’d love to see your spin on the Lemoyne Star. Have always loved that star and you always put such a classy spin on traditional blocks.

  464. Sherry | 18th Feb 14

The two quilts you shared are beautiful. I really love quilts with a neutral background that showcase the fabrics like these two do. I work full time so I like to make quilts that don’t take too much time and precuts help me get to it faster. I also like larger blocks. I have always loved the dresden quilts my grandmother made. I have many Fig Tree fabrics and the new line looks beautiful too.

  465. jenni | 18th Feb 14

You have done so many lovely things, it’s hard to suggest something. I need some projects to help me destash all those tiny scraps! I am so excited about Mirabelle!

  466. Cara | 18th Feb 14

Your new line of fabric looks lovely! I think it would look great in Camille Roskelley’s Swoon quilt pattern.

  467. Cindy Dahlgren | 18th Feb 14

I would like to see a FOUNDATION pieced quilt of a garden with FLOWERS and FOX and FAIRIES.It would be perfect in FREASH, clear colors. Despite all the F’s, I think this would be really fun and different from what everyone else does.

  468. DeDe Baker | 18th Feb 14

I’d like to see a pattern that uses 2 different blocks done in 2 different sizes but that fit together somehow. I love your work and would be thrilled to see what you could come up with.

  469. Angelia L. | 18th Feb 14

I would like to see a single block quilt with the blocks larger sized. Perhaps, a vintage block blown up and repeated!

  482. Theresa | 18th Feb 14

Everything you do is beautiful, and you want our ideas?!?! I love the combining of appliqué and piecing. Either in block style, same size blocks or different size blocks or as others have suggested, a medallion appliqué with pieced blocks surrounding it. Thank you for sharing your creativeness!!

  483. Ann Courtney | 18th Feb 14

There is something I love about the simplicity of the Churn Dash block. I would like to see a traditional churn dash quilt made from modern fabrics!

  484. nettie hendricks | 18th Feb 14

i think a drunkard’s path or a double wedding ring or a grandmother’s fan would look gorgoues with you fabrics, I could also see you going very modern and minimalistic with a design like Brigitte Heitland’s in Zen Chic.

  485. Chris | 18th Feb 14

You are so creative how could I offer any ideas? One thing I do a lot of lately is strip quilts and charm and layer cake quilts. They are just so easy to have all the matching fabrics in one set, buy a solid or two and away you go. So I guess any extra patterns with these are always welcome. I love all your patterns and my neighbor has a fig tree that she shares with me. Sooooo good.

  486. Jen | 18th Feb 14

I am loving hand drawn patterns these days…. Something with solids worked in. Thanks for the giveaway!

  487. Joanna | 18th Feb 14

You are so lucky with the fig tree. We have a tiny one in a barrel but its not very big. I think maybe we will get a larger one this spring!

    Joanna

  488. Joanna | 18th Feb 14

I would love to try the ultra modern look. Will really have to think about that one…

  489. Joanna | 19th Feb 14

The Churn Dash is one of all time favorite blocks!

  490. Karen H | 19th Feb 14

I am very fond of your fabrics and patterns – loving the applique of course. I think it would be lovely to do a sampler quilt. Perhaps with a center medallion in applique, the using the different sampler blocks around it. It could be done even as a BOM style. It’s always fun to have several techniques mixed together.

  491. Jen B | 19th Feb 14

I’d like to see some quilt patterns made with fat eighth bundles – I can find the bundles, but not patterns for what to do with them.

  492. Jen B | 19th Feb 14

Oops, forgot to ask if the giveaway is open internationally. I’m in the UK.

  493. Jan | 19th Feb 14

I would love to see a sampler quilt. Your fabrics are so amazing. Looking forward to following your blog.

  494. Sarah | 19th Feb 14

I would like to see a pattern that makes a secondary pattern when the blocks join together.

  495. Rhonda aka Quilter in The Gap | 19th Feb 14

I love patterns that mix piecing and appliqué. You are ever so talented and your fabric is so gorgeous it would seem this would be a way to highlight your artistic ability and your fabric!

  496. Susan in OK | 19th Feb 14

I would love to see daisies in some of your prints. They seem so carefree and delightful. I think daisies are perfect in every color. Daisies can even be very whimsical or very realistic. I tend more to whimsy. Thanks for asking our likes, too!

  497. Pam M | 19th Feb 14

You left out Fun, Fabulous, and Flirty – which could all be used to describe your wonderful Fabrics. I fell in love with the first photo of the figs on your blog. Would love to see a fabric line featuring the colours in this photograph. That would be Fantastic!

  505. Sue | 19th Feb 14

I am into small quilts these days, because I tend to finish them, instead of just start them. What about a bunch of seasonal small quilts?

  506. Erika Vaglica | 19th Feb 14

Since I’m a word game lover I’d love if you guys would design a quilt quilt in a Scrabble, words with friends, or crossword format. The trick would be to use words relative to everything quilters, sewers, stitches love:) oh and maybe use some blank tiles for signatures of fellow players!!! Or possibly a scoreboard ?? This would be a quilt I would love to make for myself ;);)

  507. Christine Ousley | 19th Feb 14

  519. Andrea Hawkin | 19th Feb 14

  520. Frankie | 19th Feb 14

I have been looking at your blog after a time away. I love the red and white Lone Star quilt you have posted. Moda fabric always is a great fabric to use and I love the colorways in the featured series. Looking forward each day to read from the designers.

Gorgeous! I would love to see a log cabin style quilt! Thanks for the chance to win.

  525. Frankie | 19th Feb 14

Also meant to add I am currently starting a Log Cabin quilt that is new to me. I dearly love the design and depth of this quilt with it’s blended colors shading out. Wish me luck and would appreciate any advise. Currently only 4 blocks to show and my husband asked when it might be finished. 2015 maybe.

  526. Doris Marie | 19th Feb 14

Right now I am obsessed with EPP hexagons and have several quilts in progress using different sized hexagons. I would love to see a hexagon quilt using your latest line of gorgeous fabric!
I also agree with May Britt, would love a quilt with appliqued cats.

  527. Judy Matlock | 19th Feb 14

Your fabrics are SO, SO GORGEOUS!!! I’m feeling spring time as I view them. I live in GA and many here have fig trees and gift their figs to us. My husband is not so brave to eat them, but I have become a fig lover, and that too gives me more reason to love your fabrics. IDEA: I love the fruits created in fabric and placed in a fruit bowl — I also love strip quilting. What about making figs and other fruits of narrow strips of your coordinated fabrics and resting the collection in an awesome fruit bowl? jam

  528. Karee | 19th Feb 14

How about a Stacked Dresden or Pickle Dish DWR?

Love your fabrics and patterns. I love that you do diff color placements on many of your patterns as it makes it easy for me to imagine my fabrics in your patterns. And how color placement can make parts of the pattern recede or jump forward. Very left-brain, right-brain helpful 😉

  529. pltasker@med.umich.edu | 19th Feb 14

I would just love to win anything from Fig Tree Quilts that you are so generously wanting to give away. Your fabric is just so fresh, crisp and pretty! They make my mouth water…..Thank You for the opportunity !

  531. Ellen Sickler | 19th Feb 14

I gotta say, I’m a star girl…I like all the straight lines and angles. I’m working on a quilt now that is a star within a star and when I look at it, everything is right with the world! Thanks for the chance to win!

  532. Linda Kay | 19th Feb 14

Besides your quilt patterns, I love the postcards – maybe some more postcards. And your darling little pattern of mice. Everything looks so good with your soft, faded colors giving such a vintage look.

  533. Wenda | 19th Feb 14

I love all your fabrics and would love to see a giant medallion made from your fabrics or a sampler quilt.

  534. Laura | 19th Feb 14

My husband’s grandmother made him a quilt when he was small made up of Single T Quilt blocks. His name is Tom. He loves that quilt, but it is getting a little worn because we USE it. I would love to surprise him with a new one made of this delicious line…..

    Thanks,

  535. Gale | 19th Feb 14

I really enjoyed your line of patterns based on the Vintage Postcards – The colors in your fabric lines remind me of the couple of quilts I have from my Grandmother that are possibly from the 1940’s. So a pattern related to that time period would be fabulous.

  536. Sarah | 19th Feb 14

Your fabric is beautiful. How about a firefly and fig tree quilt pattern. Some piecing and appliqué? Would you ever consider working in felt?

  537. Billie Ratliff | 19th Feb 14

I love the new line, but I always love your designs and color ways. I ask for your fabric everywhere I go when in a new city visiting fabric shops. I would like to see a quilt design using blanket stich applique of any of your fruit designs or chickens/animals. I think your fabric would look so beautiful with a curved border finish or parie points. Another idea is Grandma’s Garden but larger hexie’s instead of tendious 1′ or 1 1/2′ hexies. I know anything you design I like and want. I always look forward to your new ideas. I love your figlet term.
    Thank you

  538. Sandi | 19th Feb 14

I love your fabrics, they would make a great summer quilt. Maybe something with stars.

  539. Jeanne Antha | 19th Feb 14

Your new fabric line is so beautiful, I always love the colorways you use. Basket quilt patterns are my favorite, so that’s what I’d like to see more of.

  540. Annette | 19th Feb 14

I have been “mesmerized” by your fabrics and patterns since I found them several years ago~ It’s really beautiful music to my soul. Fabrics and patterns do that to me.
Love the Postcard quit series too.
    Thanks!
    nettiecrain@live.com

  545. Diane W | 19th Feb 14

I hope to see more fruit/veggie block quilts. I love the pear quilt, bought the pattern and just need to go get fabric.. I hope to get the cherry pattern someday. Keep using the absolutely beautiful colors and prints. They are to die for. Or eat.

  546. Laurin Gibson | 19th Feb 14

I am looking forward to anything new Fig Tree, although I am a newcomer to your products. Your 12 days of Christmas hooked me right in. How about some new ways to incorporate some of your old classics…..like the dresden plate or log cabin. I would also like to see you include the color green of the painted chair which displayed your F block in a fabric line. It doesn’t have so much yellow in it, as some of your other prints. Also please give us more small projects, when we have a time crunch. Keep up the Fabulous, Fast-to-Finish, Floral Filled, Flirty Fabrics with plenty of Fresh Foundations!!!!!!

  547. LindaSonia | 19th Feb 14

I too like Fans or Dresden plates would float my boat. The fabrics are gorgeous (no surprise)!!

p.s. I’ve never had a fig in my whole life! but I sure am curious now… 🙂

  549. Linda Fleming | 19th Feb 14

How about using one of my favorite blocks – either 3-D Bowties or Bear Paws.
I wish these fun, fantastic blocks began with “F”.
I also like the idea of a Sampler Quilt.

  550. Suzanne | 19th Feb 14

Joanna! I love a look forward to all of your patterns. I have been really loving the fruit blocks especially the cherries and pears. Why not do a fig block? It would be perfect.

  556. Catherine | 19th Feb 14

Lovely fabrics. I will soon be planting fig trees in my yard. My neighbor grew the most delicious figs in our arid environment (northern Arizona). I was thinking of a landscape quilt for myself featuring my figs. Not likely a useful idea for you but everything I grow here is prescious.

I loved your entire post. It brighrened my day. I have been through sad times recently and the mentioned “figlets” made me laugh. All your figgy thoughts made me smile. And I so needed to laugh. Thank you!

  557. Judy L | 19th Feb 14

Love your greens and blues and the way they go with the reds and peaches-you cannot go wrong with Moda fabrics…

  558. Gwynette in NW Arkansas | 19th Feb 14

Love your fabrics and would love a pattern with large blocks to show off that wonderful fabric.

  563. Capi | 19th Feb 14

I would love to see a quilt with an alphabet around the border and something fun in the center. Thinking this would be a good way to make a neat child’s quilt.

I love your fabrics and patterns, by the way.

  564. Amy T. | 19th Feb 14

I love houses. I have yet to find just the right house block that will go with your fabric lines, which are my absolute personal favorites. I am so excited for your new line to come out…so how about a house quilt pattern?

I would love a Lone Star or Pickledish pattern to make with your fabrics.

  568. Karen Johnson | 19th Feb 14

I think you should consider a quilt with the center motif colored with crayons then a border with your wonderful fabric. I love to paint, and quilt so the shading with crayons is fun!

  569. Mary Harrison | 19th Feb 14

I love the new Mirabelle line & would like to see a pattern using the layer cake.

Joanna, I would love to see your take on the Periwinkle Quilt — without templates!!!

  574. Cathryn Kasper | 19th Feb 14

It would be Fabulous if Fresh Figs were to create a Fig-shaped block – perhaps with some embroidery or special quilting to make the inside of the Fig…

All the best to all the Figs and Figlets,
    Cathryn

  580. Martha Blevins | 19th Feb 14

I love the Mirabelle fabric! I retired last month and my sewing machine is calling my name loudly! For new designs, I am a sucker for a star; but, all of your patterns are so beautiful. I trust that your choice will be perfect.

  581. Jessica White | 19th Feb 14

What about figs/fruit and spring flowers? Your fabric colors are always bright and beautiful…making me think of spring/summer all year long!

  583. Clare | 19th Feb 14

Hi! I would love to see something with a Drunkard’s Path design. I’ve seen photos online of some really gorgeous variations of this pattern. I am brand spanking new to quilting and was lucky enough to find Moda fabrics, and specifically Fig Tree and Company during internet searches for quilting fabric. I am so inspired by the beauty of your fabrics (I found Buttercup fabric online and am loving my simple, but lovely first project as it develops.) Cannot wait to get my hands on some Mirabelle fat quarters to make something extra special. That Hugs and Carousel quilt is something to aim for! Bring on March and thank you, Joanna for you wonderful textiles!

  584. Heather J | 19th Feb 14

I would love to see something that evokes the feeling of being at the circus.

  585. Luba | 19th Feb 14

  586. Susan | 19th Feb 14

I am currently working on a quilt using my Fig stash and your Laundry Bakets pattern. I love basket quilts, especially when they go together so easily like this one. Please keep coming up with easy to assemble baskets. They would look beautiful in Mirabella!

  587. April | 19th Feb 14

Love your color schemes! And, would love to win some Mirabelle, too! ;0)
I like little projects–like your Hexies and Pinecones. How about some pot holders or oven mits for beginners like me? Thanks so much for your inspiration!

  588. Cathy Martin | 19th Feb 14

I enjoy all of your fabric lines, so it’s hard to pick a favorite! I’ve really enjoyed all the pictures of the read and white quilts. They reminded me to put mine out for February!

  589. Robin T | 19th Feb 14

One of my favorite quilt blocks is the Churn Dash. I would love to see a quilt using the Churn Dash and maybe some appliqué in colors of apricot and robin egg blue. I love your ‘love you more’ quilt.

I would love to see ANY kind of pattern that uses multiple pre-cuts. I have so, so, so many charm packs, layer cakes and jelly rolls that I can’t find enough ideas to use them BUT I love them so can’t stop buying them!! Living in Northern Michigan under 150+ inches of snow I love to look at your beautiful prints and assortments … it makes me feel like Spring/Summer is already here and the snow just seems to melt away!

  592. Cheryl Gaines | 19th Feb 14

Your fabric is just so pretty. The I love you more quilt would be cute for my granddaughters. I think I’ll use it as a back for each one of them. And use the Mirabelle collection that is coming for the front . You just keep the beautiful fabric coming. Thank you

  593. Lacey R. Newski | 19th Feb 14

I love the fabrics and quilts you showed. Especially Hugs and Carousel-think I might have to make me one of those. Although i think you always do a wonderful job creating unique patterns that show off your fabrics I have to say I think a quilt done up with the “arkansas traveler” quilt block would be quite cute…maybe with a touch of applique on it?

  594. Amy | 19th Feb 14

I was thinking the other day about how much I love my Jumping Jacks Quilt, could you possible take that idea and design another quilt using American Flag blocks, or perhaps flag block patterns from a variety of countries that would allow the quilter to pick and choose the flags that they wanted to incorporate into their own quilt design, using your gorgeous florals, of course! I’m sure it would be just as stunning as Jumping Jacks!!!

  595. Gdupell@frontier.com | 19th Feb 14

Hope to win the fabrics. Pick would love to see bachelor button blue with yellow in a French style.

  596. Bonnie Nyquist | 19th Feb 14

  606. Iva | 19th Feb 14

Your new fabric line is beautiful. The vibrant colors are just what is needed to shake off the winter doldrums. How about a grandmother’s flower garden quilt, or a floral applique on white boardered by a scrappy checkerboard.

  607. Allyson D | 19th Feb 14

I would love a sampler pattern from all the others, maybe in a mini?

  608. Elizabeth Jenkins | 19th Feb 14

    Something with trees on it!

  610. Linda | 19th Feb 14

I have made a spool and fan quilt using Fig Tree. Love them. Can’t wait to see them on my studio wall. Thank you for your lovely fabric.

I love your MIRABELLE fabric and all of your other collections as well. I am fairly new to quilting and was introduced to your fabric collections and patterns early on by the lovely ladies at my local quilt shop.

You have many patterns that would look fabulous made up in this line. I think jelly parfait would look great as well as your log cabin pattern and many others.

Also, I follow you on Pinterest and just love your posts.

  621. Rina H. | 19th Feb 14

I would like to see a combo mini quilt / mini messenger bag pattern. That way people could choose to either finish it as a mini quilt and put it on the wall or make it into a small easy bag (you are very good at easy bag patterns!) Art and practicality in one! Thanks for the chance to provide input and the chance to win!

  622. susanj | 19th Feb 14

  634. Bebe | 19th Feb 14

  638. KC | 19th Feb 14

I have been impatiently awaiting the release of Mirabelle ever since I saw your Quilt Market video. Sorry, just drooled a little. I also don’t know how I can decide which of your new patterns to make. They are all so delicious. But if I had to imagine a new one, I’d love to see a continuation of the pieced fruit theme. Strawberries? Peaches? Green apples? Raspberries? So many options. You are still my favorite designer, hands down! Thanks for the chance to win a bundle of your gorgeous new line!

  639. Jennie Adcock | 19th Feb 14

When I was a child my grandmother allowed me to choose a pattern for my very own “Mama made quilt”. I chose a fan quilt and it was made with scraps from aprons, dresses, etc. of all our family. I would love to see you update this wonderful, old and still favorite pattern in your soft, romantic palette.

  640. CathyK | 19th Feb 14

I would love to see a quilt that had some of your favorite blocks through the years made with fabric from that year! Fun!

A sampler quilt would be fun.

  645. Kathleen Conner | 19th Feb 14

Your fabrics and patterns are so Fun and Fresh; they make me happy. Have you created a pie pattern yet? Maybe it’s all the cherries and pears in your patterns that are making me hungry for a pie pattern.

  646. Vickie Stithem | 19th Feb 14

I love your colors they are so soft and sweet. I would love to see some applique added to your beautiful quilts.

  647. Viv | 19th Feb 14

  648. Joanne | 19th Feb 14

I think a New York beauty pattern would be awesome! What ever pattern you choose I’m sure it will be beautiful!

  651. Lisa Stahl | 19th Feb 14

I’m a big fan of your Honeysweet fabric and I have a big pile of it in my stash waiting to be turned into the PERFECT leaf quilt, but I refuse to cut into it until I find just what I am looking for in a pattern. I have seen the pointy leaf tilted to the side, but I would like something more whimsical than that with softer, curvy edges. More like an oak leaf than a maple leaf. I have tried to design it myself but I’m not an advanced enough quilter to do it properly. I think that you would be perfect to design this type of pattern based on the whimsy of your other patterns. You’re more than welcomed to contact me if it sounds like something you might want to run with.

  652. Joyce | 19th Feb 14

It is all SOOOO…. beautiful. A modern fan design maybe? The Red and White quilt is stunning.

  653. Chrissy O | 19th Feb 14

I’d love to see a star quilt with the new Mirabelle fabric; would be absolutely gorgeous; especially with a scalloped edge. Imagine!

  657. Diane | 19th Feb 14

I would love to see more holiday patterns, your fabric lends itself so well to just using red & green , and fall colors. I just finished the Carousel pattern for a mug rug and when I showed it to my quilting group, they swooned!

  658. Karen M | 19th Feb 14

The very first Fig Tree pattern I ever purchased was Little Picasso <3 <3

  667. Toni Anne Potter | 19th Feb 14

  668. Pat S | 19th Feb 14

I’d love to see the addition of some darker colors in your lines – especially love the deeper blues you’ve used, great contrast! I enjoy applique and would love to see your fabrics incorporated into a vintage design…

  674. Chris | 19th Feb 14

I would love a sampler quilt with some appliqué. Your fabric line is my favorite

  675. plantjunkie@comcast.com | 19th Feb 14

I love your new fabric line! It would be fun to see some kind of log cabin design!

  676. Rebecca | 19th Feb 14

I have always found your fabrics fantabulous! Freezing in MA I fantasize about a snow week (ok even just a day) where I could finish my Peppermint Swirls top and start a few more projects (I freely admit to crafters ADHD)!! Reproduction fabrics and civil war patterns are what I love and your fabrics /patterns never fail to catch my eye. I wonder how you could fuse the two together perhaps?! I might see if I can’t come up with something from my Fig Tree fabric stash!! What about reproduction type prints in dusty Fig Tree colours?! Now that would be fun!! Thanks…xo, a fan!!

  677. Grace | 19th Feb 14

I absolutely love the warmth of your fabric lines! I think I would like to see something resembling a cathedral window quilt. It would be a fun play on something very traditional with a warm, homey feel to it 🙂 homespunhandmaiden(at)yahoo(dot)com

  678. Lolita Davenport | 19th Feb 14

    Thanks!

Hello! I love your block designs and the tradional, classic, yet modern feeling they invoke! I would love to see a pattern that uses piecing in combination with some machine appliqué and creamy spaces to show off modern machine quilting! Thanks for the chance…adore Mirabelle!

  680. Mary Ann | 19th Feb 14

I have always like the log cabin block They can be arranged and created in many different sizes and with different size strips. Thanks for the contest.

  681. hansensd57@hotmail.com | 19th Feb 14

A Crazy Quilt. Your colors and patterns always blend together so beautifully and effortlessly. I think the newest collection is no exception and would lend itself to a fantastic crazy quilt. Mixing the fabrics together while enhancing their ability to blend, with some embroidery to highlight them, would result in a quilt that would be both beautiful and unique.

  682. Dorothy LaMastus | 19th Feb 14

I love your fabric and would love to see a pattern that shows the four seasons in a leaf pattern. I enjoyed reading all your “F” words, you managed to come up with quite a Few 🙂

  683. Vicki Gray | 19th Feb 14

It would be pretty in any pattern. I’m wanting to put together a quilt of chickens….wouldn’t they be fabulous in Mirabelle?? Like little Fashionistas!

I love birds – colorful quilts with beautiful birds

  693. Tia | 19th Feb 14

If you could create a lap quilt that could be used in church or any place away from home that people sit but may catch a chill. For kids, having a few ribbons or some pattern to keep them busy while listening would be great. thnx.

  694. Diane | 19th Feb 14

Fabric is always a Favorite of mine, especially in baskets. I can just see some Fig Tree Flowers in more Fig Tree Fabric baskets!

    betsy

  696. Jessica Powers | 19th Feb 14

Oh my goodness. I love that fabric! Fabrics like these make me want to become a fabric hoarder. My mother loves the “Cathedral Window” quilt. I would love to see this done without the hand stitching, if that is even possible. I don’t have that kind of patience. 🙂

  697. Anita | 19th Feb 14

Love to see you design a Pattern with pieced Birds!

  698. carol | 19th Feb 14

I would like an applique tree of life quilt.

  699. LisaD | 19th Feb 14

Since you are a Fig maybe you could create a pattern with figs or a fig tree. I would love to make one.

  700. Sue Cleek | 19th Feb 14

I am in love with pineapple quilts, especially when they make secondary designs due to colors arrangements!

  701. Wendi | 19th Feb 14

I would love to see something with stars or a double wedding ring. I know there are a lot of star and double wedding ring patterns out in blog land, but I love to see your interpretations. Thanks for the inspiration!

  702. Cindy | 19th Feb 14

The little bird on the tree branch with the berries was so very cute. This little birdie would look adorable with your line of fabric. Just simple not too much, just like the photo.

  703. SandyG | 19th Feb 14

First, I would like to say your post was Fantastic! It was so Funny. Frankly, you had me laughing For a long time. Thank you For the Fun and all you do.

Quilt patterns…. I love traditional, ironically I’ve been working on a Drunkards Path, it’s Navy Blue and White that I started way to many years ago and is hand pieced. I’m wondering after seeing Kari’s Vintage Drunkards Path in the red and white is there an easier way? Others are Bear Paw, and Stars, Ohio Star, more stars. Thanks again for the great post.

  704. Cindy A. | 19th Feb 14

I would like to see something other than geometric designs. I’m growing tired of squares and rectangles that designers are doing now so that busy quilters can whip out quilts in their precious spare time. Those quilts might be quick and easy, but they’re rarely very interesting. I tend to look back with longing at the quilts created in the ’30s, especially those with applique and beautiful quilting. I realize they’re much more time consuming, but boy were they beautiful. If it’s true that you can’t rush good things, why do we want to rush through our quilt making process? I’m afraid I just don’t get it. I’m so glad you shared the Vintage Stamp Collection patterns. I’m going to look into those right away.

  705. Ramona Chester | 19th Feb 14

Mirabella looks wonderful, just like all your fabric lines. I really like that new darker taupe color. Thanks for this fabulous opportunity to win some fabric.

  706. Tatkis | 19th Feb 14

Wow, I enjoyed your post so much! Thanks for giveaway 🙂
I think something (quilt or tablerunner or pillow) would look great with your fabrics and dresden plates or arcs on it!

    Hugs,
    Tatyana

  707. Renee | 19th Feb 14

What a beautiful new fabric line! It’s such a burst of spring and would help ease the burden of all this snow if I was fortunate enough to win!

  708. Silvina T. | 19th Feb 14

How about a quilt with daisies? Or perhaps a quilt with hexagons using the mini charms? By the way, I’m really loving the soft toned colors and color combinations in your Mirabelle line 🙂

  709. Babette | 19th Feb 14

i would love to see a wedding ring quilt.

  711. Barbara Verschaeve | 19th Feb 14

I would love to see your new line done up into a Cathedral Window or a GrandMothers Fan. I just love your new Mirabella Fabrics. And as soon as I get my hands on a charm pack I am going to try doing pin-wheels and a cathedral window. My favorite of all your Collections is Cinnamon Stars and HoneySweet. When I am needing calm in my life I pull your Fabrics I have around me. I wish you could reprint Buttercream and Figs. That is such a YUMMY collection. I still hold a few slivers of fabric from that Line. Please continue to creat your beautiful fabric.

  712. Nancy Knight | 19th Feb 14

New patterns from the master – hard to find an idea you haven’t done. You haven’t done log cabin in a long time and they are so jelly roll friendly. I have found myself caught up in the hexie craze – they would be interesting on one of your bags. Love the contrasts in Mirabella. Thanks for all the fetching, folksy friendly, fun, fresh and fantastic patterns, inspiration and creativity you share!

  713. Joanna | 19th Feb 14

    Barbara-

Thank you so much! It always touches my heart when someone goes all the way back to the beginning and remembers Buttercream Figs. That seems like a lifetime ago! Thanks for following along! Joanna

  714. Sandra Johnson | 19th Feb 14

Mirabelle has a French (another F) ring to it. I’d like to see another postage stamp series with small animals. I love the bird series and have several. Your fabrics are always an inspiration!

  715. Joanna | 19th Feb 14

Wow… its been a while since someone has referred to me as the master
but thank you :-)! I love the hexies too… might have to figure out
how to work some of those in somewhere…. 🙂

    Joanna

  716. Lisa E | 19th Feb 14

I would love to see some embroidery in your next pattern.

  717. Peggy | 19th Feb 14

Oh, something along the line of Fresh Flowers, Funky Birds or Flirty Fans. I love Mirabelle so much that I already have some 5″ charms, so I would enjoy even more patterns to use my “Fab Fives”. I love Figs too! I planted a tree 2 years ago…can’t wait for my first figs.

  718. Margaret Lawrence | 19th Feb 14

    Gina

  723. Rima Omais | 20th Feb 14

I love your new mirabelle line. It is fresh, it is awakening and the most wonderful thing is that it complements your other lines so that we can have a beautiful scrappy quilt from Figuera tree co.
Yes would love a medallion center pattern with mirabelle.

  724. Trish | 20th Feb 14

Like all your patterns, always easy to follow.. my favorite flower is sunflowers so something with a sunflower in it would be my pick..
    Thx

  725. Bruinbr | 20th Feb 14

I think a sampler would be really fun! Thanks for the giveaway!

  726. Terri | 20th Feb 14

I would love to see a pattern that incorporates the gnome and mushroom theme that is on the tin!! I absolutely adore gnomes!! Maybe some like Gnome is where the heart is or There is no place like Gnome!! Love the colors in your lines of fabric and am awaiting the next releaase.

  727. Julie | 20th Feb 14

I would love a sampler mentioned before too! I would love to win your Mirabelle bundle and sew it into a wonderful wall hanging I could look at while I sew. I’m also intrigued by the BIG block surge that is going on now. They have such wonderful impact and show the fabric off beautifully.

  728. Laura Lynch | 20th Feb 14

    Joanna,
First, I really LOVE your website & visit often for inspiration. Your fabrics & patterns are some of my all time favorites. I’d love to see something with a “French Farm or French Farmhouse” theme. Perhaps an applique design with a view from a window looking out over a window box with flowers to the gentle rolling hills, quaint stone walls/fences, sheep, cypress trees, gardens, etc. A bike charming bicycle w/basket leaning against an old stone wall/fence. Two chairs with an umbrella in between looking over a low stone wall to rolling hills.
Another idea is to do a line of houses/cottages. You could name them with unique names Rosewood Cottage. Another idea would be to do “signs”. In Europe they have some beautiful shaped & scripted signs. It would be nice have a “customized” sign like ‘Welcome to the Lynch Home’ or some inspirational saying or greeting.

  729. Nancy | 20th Feb 14

Your new collection looks so beautiful. Is it hard to come up with a new one every year? I’ve really enjoyed following your blogs this past year. I’m learning more and more about fabric and sewing. Thanks, Nancy

  730. Carolyn Sweetman | 20th Feb 14

The clam shell, in your beautiful fabrics.

  731. Chris Combs | 20th Feb 14

  732. Ruth | 20th Feb 14

I got up this morning thinking of spring, even though there is still snow on the ground, and saw you fabric which just increases the thrill spring brings. Love the new stuff. I have my sewing decorated with my letter “R” so why not quilt one too. Ruth

  733. Susan | 20th Feb 14

I would love to work with a beautiful rich looking chocolate brown and your famous creams for a warm fall look. Thanks!

  736. Shirley | 20th Feb 14

  737. Amber Zona | 20th Feb 14

I love medallion quilts, maybe some easy applique in the center with pieced borders. If you don’t create one I might have to go work on one soon! Love the new line of fabric, can’t wait until it hits shops!

  738. peggy hendrick | 20th Feb 14

I love mini quilts because they don’t need much fabric, and you can use little pieces of your favorite fabrics while still retaining your “coveted” stash.

  739. Sue | 20th Feb 14

  748. Linda v | 20th Feb 14

I love appliqué flower blocks-not too detailed- just funky and fun. Love your fabrics!

  749. Mary | 20th Feb 14

One of my favorite blocks is the Blackford’s Beauty done in 2 colors with a soft white background and the same soft white background in plain blocks between for lots of beautiful quilting!!

  750. Sharon | 20th Feb 14

I am currently leaning/tipping/spying on modern quilts. I don’t know why and never would have thought I would pass this way. LOL So anything modern with some of those very cute drawings to bring a traditional flavor would sing to me.

  751. Deb | 20th Feb 14

Have you ever done anything with watermelons for summer? I’d love the pinks/reds and greens for a summery quilt. Thanks for the chance to win. Love your blog and all your fabric.

  752. Trina | 20th Feb 14

I love the warm, comforting colors of Mirabelle. I am working on a Kissing Stars quilt using Avalon and California Girl, and these colors would look great too. I’m into stars and pinwheels lately.

  753. Melissa Quinn | 20th Feb 14

Beautiful fabric. How about something with a Dresden or circles.

  754. Jessica d. | 20th Feb 14

I love your designs – patterns and fabrics. I think a sampler quilt would be beautiful in Fig Tree Fabrics!

  755. Bev | 20th Feb 14

I have been anxiously waiting for Mirabelle to hit the quilt shops after seeing it on the Moda website. The colors are just gorgeous! Falling in love with a line of fabric is always easy….deciding what pattern to use it on is another story. Something about the fear of cutting into it…. 🙂

  756. Ellen | 20th Feb 14

Well I am a couple of days late in posting due to missing my daily routine of computerish doings…dental appointments with antibiotic side effects. Not that the world needs to know, but I rarely miss a Figgy posting. Now, to the subject matter. Since you are wanting a chicken coop and I love eggs, I’d like to see a pattern with an EGG. In another life, I created “Ellen Eggs”. Little glass treasures that I made at the torch that closely resembled those found in sweet little bird nests around my home. My favorite being the Robin’s. These days I play with fabric instead of fire!! But I do miss those sweet eggs. Happy wishes to all of the Figs and I share many of your “F” likings. xx Ellen

  757. Mary O'Connell | 20th Feb 14

I would love to see a medallion quilt. I think they are stunning. You have some beautiful colours and they would go with any centre.

  758. Bonnie | 20th Feb 14

I think a small quilt (baby perhaps) using cottons with wool applique animals would be cute – or any woolapplique and cotton combination.

  759. Ashley | 20th Feb 14

Hexagons! I’m so excited about learning to use these, a break from the squares and HSTs!

  760. Cynthia | 20th Feb 14

Fig Tree fabrics are always a hit with me! Love all the lines. I would love to see a pineapple pattern with a modern twist on the traditional – maybe off centered, or a quarter pineapple, or skewed.
Thanks for a chance for your giveaway!

  761. Christine Cole | 20th Feb 14

I am loving quilts designed around Bear Paw blocks right now. The Mirabelle fabrics are really lovely, as is this blog. It makes me feel like Spring really is right around the corner.

  762. Jamie | 20th Feb 14

I would love to see your twist on an Irish chain or Jacobs ladder.

  763. Carol Thomas | 20th Feb 14

I would love to see a pattern made with birds nests, perhaps for a “F”inch? Going with the whole F thing there… I love your products!

  764. Kathy | 20th Feb 14

Your fabrics & patterns are always AWESOME. I would love to see more holiday items such as tree skirts or maybe placemats/table runners also for the holiday. I think they would really add personality to my home. Thanks.

  765. Joanna | 20th Feb 14

I am with you on the choosing of the pattern. Always the hardest part to make sure you show off your fabrics like you want. If you are looking for a pattern with Mirabelle, I might suggest Hugs or Carousel. Two of my favorites right now….

  766. Mary Prowse | 20th Feb 14

My first quilt ever was made a little over a year ago with California Girl, I am so drawn to your fabrics and lovely colors. I would like to learn paper piecing so would like a quilt pattern designed with your new fabric Mirabelle.
    Thank you.

  767. Lynn Reyes | 20th Feb 14

I don’t know you do such a great job. I love the colors you use now, because I really like oranges and aqua/turquoise, but I like lime green too. Especially with Black. Your Bunny and birdies are great and someday I want to make them.

  768. Doris R | 20th Feb 14

I enjoy quilts that combine techniques, patchwork and applique. I love nature portrayed in quilts, especially birds and flowers. I am loving the brighter, clearer colors, and I am just starting to collect them, it would be really great to win your fabrics! Thank you for the opportunity!

  775. Kim Pope | 20th Feb 14

I would love to see a Summer sampler quilt, each block with a summer theme. A parade of wagons with flowers, beach umbrellas etc.
I am a huge fan of everything Fig! Please keep me inspired!

  776. KimS | 20th Feb 14

Fig Tree fabrics are so soft & dreamy, they make me want to spread them all over the house & just smile. That said, with the ‘right’ shades of softness, so the fabric could be used for anything, what are the chances of a quilt for a little boy appearing? Maybe sailboats, water, sand? Chocolate browns, sand-tones, & dusty blues?

  777. Teri | 20th Feb 14

I love all your fabric lines so much and can’t wait until Mirabelle is available!

  778. Joanna | 20th Feb 14

    Hi Kim-

Our Sail Away pattern has been used for little boy quilts lots of times. In fact, I kind of wish I had designed it much earlier in life so mine could have enjoyed it :-)….

  779. Terry | 20th Feb 14

I would love you to do a medallion quilt using different blocks from (or inspired by) some of your classic patterns for each round. Maybe round-a-month style. Love your fabrics! Love your patterns! Always so happy!

I would like to see an asymmetrical quilt pattern with distinctive blocks, they could be any shape: square, diamond, rectangles, stars, leaves, but big and bold and not an all over pattern. I like to see scattered blocks on a solid or low volume background.

Your fabrics lend themselves to beautiful shading and gorgeous outdoor creatures whether it be birds, bunnies, or other creatures. Use blocks as window panes for those that want to do block parties.

Can’t wait to get my first sampler BOM!

  838. Mary ann | 22nd Feb 14

I am totally torn these days between quilts with large 24in or more blocks and the minis which are so cute and satisfying way for quick finish. but in the end I think I would love a medallion quilt with a number of borders in the Figtree style and fabrics! Thanks for such a fun post.

I would love to see a fig tree quilt, with a centre medallion of a tree, or a basket quilt. Thanks for the constant inspiration and the chance to win!

  841. Kimberly M | 22nd Feb 14

As a lot of your patterns use the lighter fabrics in the background, with the darker prints in the foreground, I would love to see a pattern that is the opposite. Something that sparkles. Maybe a variety of small stars of lighter prints that make up a larger star on a dark background. As well, a small project on the side to use up the leftovers. 2 projects for 1 or a 2fer! I love your fabrics and patterns. I’m sure whatever you come up with next will be a winner in my books! Thanks for the chance to win.

  842. Beverly Young | 22nd Feb 14

I have a particular love of the four patch block and have quite the collection of tops made with them so one I have thought about doing is Village Green by Nancy Page in June of 1939 she created the block. I think I will make this out of your new collection.

  843. Debbie Rogowski | 22nd Feb 14

your new line is just yummy, (first word that came to mind when I saw it) I’m a push over for old fashion patterns so I’d love to see this fabric in a traditional pattern maybe a 9 patch of some sort. (oh and I didn’t know anything about figs until I moved to Texas, now they are a big part of our cooking)

  844. June @ QuiltQuest | 22nd Feb 14

  849. Mary | 23rd Feb 14

I saw a Pickle dish antique quilt made with a striped fabric in the melon part of the block. I know you like to take a complicated block and create an easier way to make it. Go for the pickle!

  850. Evelyn | 23rd Feb 14

My idea is a quilt with 16″ or 18″ blocks that could be made with or without sashing. Single blocks could then be made into coordinating pillows. I prefer pieced blocks, but a combination of pieced and applique probably would be more interesting — perhaps with butterflies.

  851. Béatrice | 23rd Feb 14

What you want, I LOVE all your patterns !

  852. Sandy | 24th Feb 14
