SUMMER SPOOLS…there are some quilt blocks that never go out of style, and the spool block is definitely one of them. It instantly makes me think of vintage quilts, cozy sewing rooms, and the simple joy of making something by hand.This is my take on a classic—a simple, charm pack-friendly pattern that’s fun to sew and easy to make your own. Now who’s ready to start digging through their favorite charm packs?!

It’s National Pick Blueberries Day! Did you know?I have to admit... I didn’t even know this was a thing until recently.So, in honor of the day, I’m sharing a look at the BLUEBERRY PIE quilt from my FRUIT SALAD book!And of course, don’t forget the best part... plenty of delicious blueberries to enjoy, too! Not sure if you noticed in my stories a few weeks back, but each year we volunteer at a local u-pick blueberry farm and also pick to our hearts content at the end of the day.So…. let’s just say I might have a few too many blueberries around at the moment.Could you share your favorite blueberry recipe, fresh or frozen? Especially if you have something savory or in the “sauce” category. I am in serious need of some new ideas for sure!

I have a crush.Can I have a crush on something I designed myself? Just asking for a friend.But these Summer’s End ribbons with Renaissance Ribbons are just so so yummy!To say I want to adorn these ribbons on everything is an understatement. I am finding new ways to use them every day!Check them out in the Fig Tree RIBBON SHOP and tell me your favorite. For me? I think it might those little red tulips but the green flowers are getting me too!Some of our favorite ways to use ribbons are as drawstring for bags and as embellishments for pouches, project bags, pillows, key fobs...basically any project we can!You can also head to the Renaissance Ribbons website for additional ideas for uses, as well as informative ribbon care!

Time to go sailing!!The REGATTA quilt was originally created with my CATALINA fabric collection, which released in April of 2020. I couldn’t very well name the fabric collection after our favorite island off the coast of California and not design a sailboat quilt to go along with, right? It’s hard to believe that was 6 years ago already!I love pulling this summer-themed quilt out around this time - and as I did, I realized how great it would look in ROSIE!In case that intrigues you, I’ve decided on some replacement fabric recommendations using the ROSIE collection.
