ITEM #1: SNOWY CHRISTMAS: STITCHED TOWEL QUILT

You know how they say that often “necessity is the mother of all invention”? Well in this case, it really was.

As we were planning out our 12 DAYS SALE this year, we discovered that we had squirrelled away a HUGE box of our favorite Christmas Stitched Kitchen Towels from a few years ago. If you have been here for many years, you might remember them as a favorite a few years ago. Apparently we love them too so we acquired all the back stock of them and then promptly forgot!

So I quickly set about to design a super simple quilt that would use the towels in a classic format and some coordinating cream fabrics. We had no idea how it would turn out but honestly… so far it is everyone’s FAVORITE lap quilt project this season.

There is something about the classic red and grey cross stitch images mixed with a scrappy mix of our favorite cream fabrics and that simple pieced border that resembles stitching… it’s pretty much perfect.

Each kit includes (4) Christmas Stitched Towels, scrappy cream fabrics for sashing & border, soft grey and warm red fabrics to coordinate for blocks as well as binding. Kit also includes exclusive pattern.

Quilt measures 53″ x 65″

Such a soft dreamy feel…

Scrappy creamy patchwork in between the towels, set the (4) towels into the quilt. Corner posts are “X” blocks and the border is a simple “stitch” line to finish off the stitchery vibe of this wintery quilt project.

Gosh these puzzles never get old and are favorites of our Christmas shoppers every time we offer them. Filled with vintage images and with a definite retro flair, this puzzle will make a perfect holiday activity for the whole family.

In fact in our home, working on a holiday puzzle while family members come in and out and join in the building, has become one of our favorite Christmas traditions. I would love it if it became a new tradition in yours too.
