12 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS: DAY #4

Hello my Fig Tree Friends-

ON THE FOURTH DAY OF CHRISTMAS, MY TRUE LOVE GAVE TO ME, FOUR CALLING BIRDS.

I’ve always wondered what calling birds really were so I looked it up. Apparently a long time ago, the song called for “colly birds” which was just another name for blackbirds. And those we have a plenty around here so I think we are all good. I guess my true love can somehow manage to gnab me 4 blackbirds and add them to the Christmas piles.

Our items went very quickly yesterday and we know that a lot of you would still love one of those cute little RICK RACK TABLE TOPPER kits. We will see if maybe we are able to add some more on the last day, but we won’t know until then. We will not be able to release the pattern for that until next year.

KIT FOR THE DAY: FARMHOUSE CHRISTMAS BUNDLE

This striking color combination is a first for us but we just couldn’t resist the beautiful reds, darker greens and blacks of the Farmhouse Christmas feel this year. This is a really popular look these days! Mix those large buffalo checks with the smaller texts, hollies, stars and trees for a fabulous mix on a simple or even more complex quilt. I would love to see this as just a simple square patchwork! Or pull those FABULOUS buffalo checks out and make some coordinating pillows!
Each bundle has (13) ½ yd cuts for a total of 6 ½ yards for the bundle.

GIFT ITEM FOR THE DAY: SIMPLICITY GROCERY SHOPPING BAGS

These grocery bags are too fabulous for their own good… I might have saved half a dozen of them for myself… just maybe! Whether you choose the one from the 60’s or the 70’s… the outfits alone make the bags a “must have”. But add in the fact that they are perfect for groceries or shopping of any kind [I will never go to another flea market without them] and that they fit into their own little carry bag… perfect! Throw a couple into your purse before you go shopping and you are ready for anything! Perfect stocking stuffers too! Did I mention that the retro image is different on each side of the bag?!

Each bag open to app. 17″ x 17″ .. they are huge and will carry so much stuff!

FIRST UP, THE 1960′

NEXT UP, THE 1970’S

Do you add kits sometimes throughout the day? I noticed yesterday you added 2 kits later in the day. Thanks, Myra
