PATTERN SHOWCASE: JANUARY BLOOMS

If you follow along with my Fig Tree patterns, you will probably know how much I love the challenge of designing a pattern around a specific MODA precut. This time it is the DESSERT ROLL that drew my design attention and given the soft, low volume nature of my LINEN CUPBOARD collection, I knew I wanted a simple, scrappy throw that really let those soft linen inspired prints shine. The addition of a few simple flower head blocks seemed like the perfect compliment. Go with our Springy vibe of yellow and green, or branch out on your own and choose your favorite two colors [we used my EYELET BASICS] for a summer, patriotic or even a Christmas themed quilt!

SIZE: 41.5″ x 52″
Pattern available via PAPER or PDF.

DESSERT ROLL

You may be asking yourself…what’s a DESSERT ROLL?!

First off, I have to tell you – I am just a little obsessed with these cute cuts! A dessert roll is a MODA pre-cut fabric that measures 5″ x WOF. So it’s basically double the width of a jelly roll! The LINEN CUPBOARD dessert roll contains (20) assorted low-volume prints.

When making this pattern, you may find you have some leftovers. Be sure to SAVE THEM! I have another blog post in the works to share an additional project we made to use them up! LITTLE BOX subscribers: you know what I’m talking about! 🙂
