It’s that time again! We’ve partnered with @fatquartershop for their third SEWCIALITES quilt along.

Our block contribution is called BACK PORCH and is a variation of one of my very favorite classic quilt blocks - the ROLLING STONE. Honestly I love this block in every variation I have ever made! This one is made in a variety of ROSIE fabric and is a perfect fit for the summer don’t you think?

We loved making the block so much we decided to make a whole quilt of them and offer a fun, free layout to put them together. You can find all those details on our BLOG [and maybe even a special little GIVEAWAY - on the blog only!].

I don’t know about you but kite flying just makes me feel like a kid again. And a kite quilt? Well that is pretty much the perfect pairing if you ask me.

Happy Mother’s Day to all of us who are mothers, hope to be mothers, are adopted mothers to those who need it… and everything in between. This day is bittersweet for lots of people for lots of reasons and this day belongs to all of you too. I hope your day is filled with a lot of even just a little glimmer of joy, gratitude, hope, fullness and the little things that make being a mother both the best and the hardest job on the planet!

Today is the day… I am so proud to introduce LAR

Today is the day…

I am so proud to introduce LARKSPUR & LINEN. My newest collection for MODA FABRICS.

Fig Tree has gone full “cottagecore” with this group. The collection is filled with both cottons & LINENS in soft colors and wonderful textures!
I might be just a little bit obsessed and will be using them for SO MANY different projects over the next months.

And guys… the LINENS are so soft and such an incredible add to our quilting journey!
I cannot wait to bring you along with me as we sew with these fabrics together.

Over the years, the Cotswolds area of the British countryside has become our family’s absolute favorite place to visit.
The villages, the cottages, the history, the green rolling hills, the antiques and the sheep!
These fabrics are my take on life in a Cotswolds village.

I cannot wait to share all the quilts, the projects and show you some behind the scenes sewing.
I will be sharing much more next week at the H&H trade show in Chicago.
I hope you join me to see it all!

I was so excited to hear that my SUMMER’S END fabr

I was so excited to hear that my SUMMER’S END fabric collection would be arriving early. It’s already popping up in quilt shops and I can’t wait to see what you make with it. We have lots of projects planned for this summer... feels like a perfect pairing for SUMMER’S END, don’t you think?!

So tell me…do you have a favorite quilt yet?!
As for me... MAISY DAISIES has been a long time favorite but you know... GERTRUDE is kind of a show stealer and CAMEOS is such a fun make! Of course SPIKY ROSE and GARDEN ROSEHIPS are both so perfect for summer sewing... okay I am of no help in the “pick a favorite” discussion so you all are going to have to help me!

The calm before the #figfarmretreat . Once a year we host an event that we look forward to all year. And every year I get so busy that I forget to post much of anything. Thank you to all the sweet ladies who made this quilty event such an amazing week… @thefeltedpear @laceypoirier @jeaniehlm @quiltedgrammy @cahslz @outlawnana @debralynntaylor @mamapoc2014 @debaldridge @jenkingwell @sewdesserts @maggiechristman @stacylindblom @kkiel13 and so many more that I am forgetting and blanking on your “handle”. Happy Easter Everyone!

My hope for all of us is that your day is filled with joy & hope especially in the chaos. We are so grateful to be a small part of your creative journeys and it is really my honor.

To those that celebrate... He is Risen!

Hope your day is filled with some eggs, some people you love and perhaps evening some evening sewing after all the activities are done.

As you can tell from the photo, our girls are back in full production and we are so excited to hear their clucking and reap the benefits of their work!
