SUMMER’S END: NEW CROSS STITCH PATTERNS

In addition to my upcoming SUMMER’S END fabric collection [due in stores later this summer, ’26] and accompanying quilt patterns, I couldn’t help but add a few CROSS STITCH treasures to the line up!

……

GERTRUDE THE GOOSE CROSS STITCH

Introducing… Gertrude The Goose. She is the perfect little addition to your Spring decor, for a child or grandchild or just to add a bit of whimsy to your shelf.

She was inspired by our GERTRUDE QUILT and with a few small additions and creative details, she joins our garden of SUMMER’S END goodness.

This sweet model was stitched by our friend Debra Taylor and her work is just perfection. Thank you so much Debra!

When it came time to finishing her… I had serious decision paralysis. I don’t know if this is true for others of you who cross stitch, but I just could not decide how to showcase her. After much searching I found the perfect 6″ x 6″ beachy grey wood frame from Michael’s. This one is the exact one I think, HERE.

It was a great color and size match and fit the model perfectly!

SPIKY ROSE CROSS STITCH

A miniature reproduction of our popular SPIKY ROSE QUILT, this stitchery is a small ode to Spring with colors that melt together into a little garden of stitched flowers. With just 8 flowers in soft coordinating tones, some of the flowers stand out and some faded into one another on purpose.

This model was lovingly stitched by our Figgy friend Amy Curnutt and we are so grateful for her stitching assist! So grateful for your lovely work Amy!

After much deliberation, I decided to finish ours into a small patchwork bag, but of course you can also use a frame or any other standard finishing. A small natural wood frame would be really really perfect as well.

I will have all the info on how to finish into this bag next week. It will be right here on the blog – so come back and check with me next week!
