12 Days of Christmas 2020: Day #2

ON THE SECOND DAY OF CHRISTMAS, MY TRUE LOVE GAVE TO ME, TWO TURTLEDOVES.

KIT FOR THE DAY: POINSETTIA KIT

… I just love the large blocks and the variety of prints in the backgrounds!

… and of course my favorite red and white Christmas floral for the border and the backing too.

It isn’t Christmas at our house until there are Poinsettias on our front porch. There is something so beautiful and festive about these plants that bring so much color in the whiteness of winter. As for these sewn versions, they are a perfect way to bring some of that Poinsettia beauty to the indoors. Kit includes everything for the quilt top including the blocks, sashing, background, binding and the pattern.

Quilt Size 71.5″ x 71.5″ so it is definitely a nice size quilt.

BUNDLE FOR THE DAY: RED & GREY BUNDLE

This is a new combo for us but we are in love with it. We chose all of the deeper reds that we had collected over the year and paired them with soft, warm greys mixed with creams. The result is classic and traditional but could be more modern at the same time. A perfect Farmhouse Christmas blend if I do say so!

Look at some of those yummies in there… my favorite might be that large pine needle floral print in the grey and also in the red [the one on the bottom]… isn’t it good? Each bundle has (12) ½ yds.

NOTION FOR THE DAY: RETRO STORK SCISSORS

What do I need to say about these? They are cute. They are vintage inspired. They are storks. They are aqua, red and green. What else is there? They are too cute!

… they actually look like storks walking when they are opened like this!
