Hello Quilty Friends- The moment we saw the newest collection from my friends Laurie and Polly, Mackinaw Island, I knew I wanted to use it for a simple summer patriotic quilt… a patchwork that anyone could put together in a weekend! It wasn’t until I also fell in love with the Sashiko woven fabrics from my friend Kari from French General, that I knew I wanted to see these two collections together. We mixed in a few other print favorites including a Mochi Linen Dot to round out the group and voila… the Summer Scrappy Patchwork…
