Summer Scrappy Patchwork Quilt Kit

Hello Quilty Friends- The moment we saw the newest collection from my friends Laurie and Polly, Mackinaw Island, I knew I wanted to use it for a simple summer patriotic quilt… a patchwork that anyone could put together in a weekend! It wasn’t until I also fell in love with the Sashiko woven fabrics from my friend Kari from French General, that I knew I wanted to see these two collections together. We mixed in a few other print favorites including a Mochi Linen Dot to round out the group and voila… the Summer Scrappy Patchwork Quilt was born. One collections gives us florals, paisleys and dots. The other collection gives us the most fantastic woven fabrics that mimic the Japanese stitching art of Sashiko.
