From the Vault: Fresh Laundry + Figs & Shirtings

Happy Thursday and welcome to another edition of From the Vault! In this blog series, I’m digging deep into my vault of patterns to find oldies but goodies to update with more recent fabric collections of mine. Today, I’m bringing out Fresh Laundry. I love the vintage look of this quilt, especially when sewn up in soft colors. The original version was made with Fig & Plum, an early collection of mine that featured a softer color palette of dusty mauve, persimmon, stone, pear, and pond. (The pattern also featured a second colorway using just the pond, pear, and cream prints for a soft and sweet wintry version.) Later, we did a two-color red and white version for the Red & White Charity Quilt Show.
