Inspired by the farmyards we have fallen in love with as we adventure around our farmhouse in Sonoma County, Gertrude first came about as a part of the My Secret Garden Block of the Month Sampler last year and she was an instant hit. How could she not be, right [especially for those of us who can reminisce about those goose wallpaper borders from our youth]!?  Getrude is pieced entirely with SEW & FLIP so nothing fancy or specialty rulers or paper piecing is required… and that might just be why we love her so…
