PATTERN SHOWCASE: GERTRUDE

Inspired by the farmyards we have fallen in love with as we adventure around our farmhouse in Sonoma County, Gertrude first came about as a part of the My Secret Garden Block of the Month Sampler last year and she was an instant hit.

How could she not be, right [especially for those of us who can reminisce about those goose wallpaper borders from our youth]!?

Getrude is pieced entirely with SEW & FLIP so nothing fancy or specialty rulers or paper piecing is required… and that might just be why we love her so much.

Full of charm and sweetness, Gertrude can for sure be enjoyed by both adults and kids alike.

Speaking of kids, the pattern includes both a standard 9-block version and a baby quilt with a single goose block plus 2 tulip flowers for a perfect baby-sized gift.
