PATTERN SHOWCASE: LITTLE WOODS + BONUS SETTING IDEAS

Given my love of all things fall as well as all things mushroom and leaves…it’s a true wonder that I haven’t designed a table topper such as this one before! Not sure what I have been thinking all these years, but it was way past time! I mean, I have added mushrooms to various BOM quilts over the years, but nothing in a small seasonal topper like this. I am a little bit obsessed with it :-).

My newest fall collection, BUTTERNUT & SAGE, certainly called my name for this autumnal pattern. I think its kind of a perfect pairing, don’t you think?

Meet LITTLE WOODS…

Sample pieced by Cynthia Bird and quilted by me.

Grab a BUTTERNUT & SAGE CHARM PACK [or other CHARM PACK of your choosing] and let’s create this sweet autumnal topper together. Some leaves, some mushrooms, some fall flavored blooms and ta da!

Wouldn’t it make the perfect centerpiece for your Thanksgiving table? Although I think I would be a little bit scared to get gravy on it :-).

*BONUS* SETTING IDEAS

As what happens a lot when I truly love a specific pattern, I had a few extra ideas for using certain blocks and units from the LITTLE WOODS pattern. They didn’t make the final cut but they are still so good!

We don’t always have the time to make up detailed pattern instructions and fabric requirements, but still want to make sure you have these ideas handy in case they inspire you to keep creating. They are just too good to keep to ourselves!

If you can follow along to the basic cutting notes and mock-ups below, HAVE FUN creating a free bonus project or two!
