I know, I know… I am a quilter and not cross stitcher. But there is something perfect about these tiny little masterpieces that stretch a completely different side of my design and stitch brain. So in an effort to keep learning new things and for keeping things interesting, I am going to try to make sure we have a few seasonal cross stitch patterns to offer at Fig Tree. Each design will be inspired either directly or indirectly by my quilt designs… it feels like we are stitching tiny little quilts with these!
This round up is both an introduction of 2 brand new autumn feeling cross stitch patterns as well as a round up of some of our other autumnal cross stitch offerings, both patterns and freebies.
A HUGE thank you to Susan [@thefeltedpear] and Debra [@debralynntaylor] for their stitching on these little beauties!

First up, let’s talk about PECAN BLOSSOMS.

For this design, I imagined a miniature PECAN BLOSSOMS quilt and played around with the layout until I had something as close to it as possible. Susan [@thefeltedpear] chose a beautiful linen for a darker background and I love it so much!
And that finishing?! I think it would make an amazing paper weight personally.

Next, AGATHA’S ACORNS.

I wanted to create a coordinating design to my AGATHA’S OAKS quilt pattern, too but this time I decided to go a more realistic route than quilt blocks. I finished it off in a frame for a perfect tabletop finish and really like the classic result. Debra [@debralynntaylor] stitched up this cutie!

This one might actually look familiar if you’ve been following the Fig Tree cross stitch projects unfold. Released last year with our Denim & Daisies collection, we couldn’t help but re-feature it here!
