Finishes at 57″ x 57″
Available as PAPER or PDF.
This one is definitely “by popular demand” as you guys have been asking me for a tree skirt for sooo long. This is an easy one to put together with some fabulous holly blocks and some berries. It is pieced in a regular “quilt” way and then bound. No circular cutting or anything fancy…. just regular binding all the way around. As for cutting the center and the slit? If you have an artificial tree and don’t want to do the slit… you can do that and save the ribbons for some special gift giving.
As for those of us natural tree people, we will need the slit and have the opportunity to use the beautiful coordinating ribbons to this collection – more on those in a future blog post, so stay tuned!
This is definitely something that is “doable” so no need to be scared… I promise! The skirt is made on the larger size so that it will cover up any larger tree and still have plenty of “skirt” left for all those presents.

Finishes in 3 size options:
I am not exaggerating when I say that this is my new favorite two-color quilt design … I am totally smitten. I think it would be exquisite in patriotic red, white, & blue…Halloween…or even a single favorite color!
Shown here in several permutations of red, green & ivory, this classic block goes together in a straightforward way, and I believe that it is the setting & borders that really make it shine!

Honeybun-Friendly!
Available as PAPER or PDF.
Recolored in BUON NATALE….I love the simple and even modern feel of this tree which utilizes a MODA Honeybun pretty much to perfection! You can decide if you want uniform color trees and use the same fabric for all the “branches” on a single tree or you can go scrappy and mix it all up…your choice.
And speaking of choices, you can also either make all your stars red or alternate, red and green. And the choices don’t end there…as an alternative version, you can choose “Soft Winter” with a tan background and cream trees for a beautifully soft classic winter feel. This version uses taupe for the trunks and (2) red prints for alternating stars.
……
And if you aren’t quite sure yet what you’d like to make with BUON NATALE, I would suggest ordering a fat quarter bundle. It mixes and matches wonderfully with my previous Christmas collections, and that darker green adds a perfect extra touch – PRE-ORDER THE FAT QUARTER BUNDLE HERE.
We have a few more patterns to show you that are either a longer-term project… like the BOM… or will be released closer to the fabric itself next year. But all of the above goodies can be made with this year’s Christmas fabrics if you can’t wait… and I have heard that MANY of you are dying to make up the Christmas tree skirt this year, and I cannot wait to see some of those!
Happy Sewing!
