Thank you Joanna for the great recipe and quilt block. I hope you have a very magical holiday season and find time to spend relaxing with your family.

My favorite Christmas song has always been ‘Oh Holy Night’ since the first time I heard that song years ago. I love almost all the Christmas songs with those playing all day long most of the time during December in my home but that one song is the one that I will actually ‘hear’ more than the others as it plays. I can be busy doing something else and just listen to the others as background noise but that one just make me hear it more than others if that makes any sense.

Thank you for the awesome giveaway.

  9. Yvonne | 6th Dec 11

  277. Brenda Sanders | 6th Dec 11

My favorite is “Silent Night”. I’ve always loved the peace that it portrays for me. And I guess another reason is a memory from when I was about 4 years old. In the small community that I live in we have a community Christmas program on Christmas Eve. My Great Uncle Al, who was in his 70’s got up and told the story of how Silent Night was written. Uncle Al had fought in WWI, and had emphazema partly from having inhaled mustard gas. As Uncle Al spoke, tears were running down his face. He said that for many years he had hated the Germans because of the horror he had seen during the war, but as the years had gone by, he had come to accept that they were just people, too, not the monsters that he had felt they were for so long. The he said that he had read the story of Silent Night and it opened his eyes even more. He said that he decided that no nation that had produced a song like Silent Night could be totally bad.
I don’t think there was a dry eye in the building that night.

  278. Nicole | 6th Dec 11

My 3 year old daughter can’t stop singing Jingle Bells so I’d say that since it is stuck in my head…it is my favorite this season! Her favorite part is the “HEY” at the end…oh ya, makes me jump out of my seat every time! HAHA Merry Christmas

O Holy Night! Thanks for the giveaway

  404. Helen | 6th Dec 11

My favourite Christmas song is I’m Dreaming of a White Christmas. Being from the southern hemisphere means it is just that – a dream! But I have had a couple of magical white Christmases in Scotland and oh how I wish I could experience that every year!
My 3 year old has a flashing red nose and antlers and she wears them from morning ’til night. So with this obsessive streak I’m sure you can imagine that this year the only song I am listening to is Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer!

  405. Shannon Wallace | 6th Dec 11

I’m LOVING the red and green combos, and I might have to buy one of each! My favorite Christmas song is hard to narrow down but probably Emmanual or Mary Did you Know.
