I LOVE MY AMISH BASKETS

Ever since I reached a certain number of followers on Instagram, I am inundated with daily requests for “collaboration” or for influencer gigs or for paid endorsements. Most of the products are either nonsense or just don’t fit with anything that I am doing quilt or fabric wise so I just keep on scrolling. You guys would laugh at some of the random and obscure requests I have received!

But when AMISH BASKETS reached out to ask me if I might be interested in trying out some of their baskets, I thought that this was a company, and product, that I would definitely be interested in. And it made me think about that fact that certainly there are other companies out there that are more “in line” with what I do here on social media… so I might just do these once in a while if you all are interested. Let me know in comments if you are. I know many of you use the blog just for the info and that is totally fine. I can see by the numbers that you all are here otherwise I would certainly wonder lol. I know many of you prefer to email me or DM me, but comments here would be lovely :-).

Anyway… the 2 baskets I requested arrived and I couldn’t be more pleased! I use one of them, THE CRAFT CADDY, ALL THE TIME… like every single day… and the other more as an organizational basket but both are both beautiful and beautifully made. I could not recommend them more. And I do believe that AMISH BASKETS is having a wonderful SALE that is ending soon so I would get in on that deal if I were you.

This is my favorite “go to” basket now. I love how it feels, its size and those leather handles! HERE IT IS LINKED

and here are several different ways I have used the CRAFT CADDY this week.

  1. For fabric. It is a gorgeous way to photo my newest collection, ROSIE 🙂

2. For gathering roses. Honestly this basket is a perfect size for flowers and veggies from the gardem. Although for veggies, i would remove the liner first!

3- For carting my latest vintage finds. I might have a current problem with blue transferware and blue china in general. Am I the only one?

4- Here is the signature of the Amish family that made the basket. That might be my favorite part of supporting this company!

The other basket I received is the VINTAGE SEWING BASKET… linked HERE. I ordered the plain one and I am not sure they have that one still but the one with the stripe is also quite lovely. I use this one as a SEWING BASKET as suggested and didn’t manage to get a picture but hope to add one next week. I love the little tray it comes with!

I just wanted to post this so that you all might see it while they are still having their sale! If you are in the market for a basket, you should definitely go check them out!

Just my friendly PSA for this week,

Joanna

I have ordered baskets from them as gifts. They are beautifully made and were so wonderfully loved by my friends. One was a double pie basket for a baker friend and an old fashioned picnic basket with the flip up lids for my godson (I thrifted vintage silver plate utensils and plates for the picnic basket) I love giving hand made gift, either by my hands or by another.

I am so excited to learn about these Amish baskets, I do enjoy my Longaberger baskets. I see so many that I would use or give as a gift.
    Thank you for sharing.

We are going to Shipshewana next month and I wil certainly look for one of these as a great souvenier of our visit. We will be on a tour with Country Heritage Tours. The end point is Mackinac Island. There is another tour in August for those interested.
