Flower blocks have always been one of my favorite blocks to design and interpret and I think a large part of that stems from the fact that I would really love to spend more time in the garden. If I wasn’t a fabric and pattern designer, I always feel like I would just live in my neglected garden!

Spiky Rose is my vision of a late summer garden in full bloom, each flower showcasing a new color combination. Blocks are pieced on a variety of low volume and color backgrounds for a wonderful “mix and match” scrappy quilt! Each block is its own little mini quilt honestly!

Build your own blooms and leaves and watch your garden grow. Perfect as a quilt or a smaller version in a table runner.

There are a lot of different variations, each block is different so play close attention to the cutting guide inside the pattern and then make little “block piles” to organize yourself. You should be able to easily see all the combos from these photos!
