Simple Winter Creams Snuggle Throw

So if you missed my Instagram post last week… this was my feeling… “So this is my little winter gift to myself. ❄️☃️🎄 I don’t know about you but at some point, I have too many large projects undone and I can’t focus. One might think… well Joanna, that might be a good time to organize yourself and finish something, right? Well… that would be logical. 😂 Instead what my creative brain needs is to start and finish a super simple project that I can enjoy at home! So this is it… a super simple creamy patchwork, filled with creamy snowy prints, intermingled with our favorite winter fabric… CREAM SNUGGLE!! Winter Solstice Sew Along: Week #3

Welcome Back Friends! Last week we celebrated the true Winter Solstice.  The moon was a brilliant quarter moon, and the Christmas Star of 2020 shown brightly in the Southwest sky.  The longest day of the year has come and gone with the promise of longer days, and the changing of the seasons.  This week’s blocks, Peppermint Star and Snowflake Dance use pinwheels to give the effect of stars twinkling in the night sky.  Don’t let Snowflake Dance intimidate you with all the quarter triangles!  A tip is to lay out your block on a design board before beginning to sew to make sure each of your pinwheels is spinning in the correct direction.  Go slowly, cut accurately, press rather than iron, measure each “unit” and trim if necessary to 2 1/2&#8243…
