Introducing ROSIE TOWELING!

If you have been following me for a while, you should be well acquainted with my love for vintage-inspired toweling. Gosh, we use it for so many different things around here including table runners and pillows, napkins and placements and most importantly the best kitchen towels ever! We use them seasonally in different colors but my favorite are for sure summertime and Christmas.

One of the things we started doing even before, but definitely during Covid, was making our own dish towels and even using smaller squares of these as “paper towels”. They wear well, look nice and it is a lovely bonus addition that we are helping the earth in the process. Not nearly as many paper towels get used at our house anymore!

Usually I use many of the lovely toweling available from MODA and various MODA designers and often put together seasonal bundles of toweling in our shop. But when I was given the opportunity to design a few of my own designs… well you know I jumped at that chance for sure!

Reimagining a few of my favorite vintage ticking stripes, checks, and florals on toweling was like a little design “icing on the cake” for me with ROSIE and honestly it was really hard to narrow it down to this group because I wanted ALL THE VARIATIONS!

PRINTED TOWELING

In this grouping, I have 3 colors of the scroll design. Inspired by a vintage table cloth, the colors are a PERFECT match to ROSIE and I am already imagining summer table runners and placemats. Also I am determined to make an apron somehow so stay tuned for that next summer.

In addition to the scroll, I have created a reproduction toweling inspired by one of my all time favorite strawberry tablecloths but in a toweling version. Its pretty much retro strawberry perfection and looks vintage and faded by the sun just like my original… I’m in love!

WAFFLE WEAVE TOWELING

Next up are the 3 waffleweave towelings [green, blue and red], inspired versions from my vintage towel collection. These are TO DIE FOR in their texture and feel and I will be using these for years to come… I guess I better stock up on some bolts just for me :-).

CLASSIC TOWELING

And last but certainly not least are the classic woven toweling options with classic checkerboard border and a wonderful background in light green, medium green, blue and red. All the colors are FANTASTIC, honestly they turned out such perfect tones of summertime goodness. These would be so perfect for pillows, chair cushions for the kitchen, and of course towels. We will be adding some simple fun applique to the centers of these next summer so again… stay tuned for all the fun projects!

COLLECTION INFO:

• 11 Prints total [4 print, 3 waffle, 4 woven cotton]
• 16″ cotton toweling with pre hemmed edges as running yardage. So all you have to do is purchase your desired cut and hem the two short side and voila!
• 100% premium cotton woven for us by our MODA friends in India. Their work is just beautiful.

As mentioned above, we will be doing all kinds of fun things with these next summer and I definitely think that you will want to stock up on more of your favorites later but for now we do have this special bundle that you can pre order HERE.
