LITTLE BOX OF FIGS 2023: BOX #1 REVEAL

Our LITTLE BOX OF FIGS subscription is likely the most sought after program we do every year and for sure one of the ones we have the most fun putting together each and every time.

If you are looking for a full program description, we will have to do another post for that, but for right now we are hear to do a little reveal and to show off our projects for the first box of the 2023-24 subscription year.

NEW YEAR, NEW BOX

We are in year seven of this popular subscription [can you even believe that??] and each and every year we have always had “a little green box” in the perfect shade of Fig Tree green.

Half way through last year’s program we learned that our supplier of our favorite little green box was ceasing production and we would barely have enough to finish out the year. Oh no, we thought, what are we going to do next? We scoured and looked and sourced. We considered a dozen different permutations and finally we came up with our own box with a brand new LITTLE BOX logo. I really loved creating it and settled on a neutral white logo on our classic green box… once again in our favorite shade of Fig Tree green. When the boxes arrived for the first time a few weeks ago… we were smitten! And we are just a little bit in love and sure hope that for those of you subscribing, that you are too.

BOX REVEAL:

Each quarter we put together a thematic ensemble of goodies and try to include a new and different variety of products each and every time. This April box is the “SUMMER BOX” and is filled with our FRUIT COCKTAIL fabric, fruit stickers, fruit CHARM PACK and MINI CHARM and fruit notebooks for quilty math. Like I had mentioned… its ALL ABOUT THE FRUIT this time around!

The notions include a duo of iron cleaner [so indispensible], a mini FIG TREE ruler [perfect for keeping next to your machine] and a green BOBBIN BOAT [one of our new favorite little notions- so useful].

The gifty item includes our favorite enamel pin of all time, the VINTAGE SEWING MACHINE ENAMEL PIN. Patterns include the brand new FRUITTI TUTTI charm pack pattern and a redo of our SPARROWS pattern.

MAIN PROJECT: FRUITTI TUTTI

Featuring your favorite prints from the charm pack for the fruit, we have also included yardage for the basket, extra leaves and fun borders. Its a pretty simple sew, with very few points to match and a lot of forgiving shapes too.

LITTLE PROJECT: SPARROWS

No box would be complete without out secondary project and this time it is a stuffie/pincushion favorite… SPARROWS. To complete the project you will need a tiny piece of felt for the beak and your stuffing of choice. We always seem to settle on a combination of cotton stuffing and walnut hulls [lizard litter from the pet store].
