Our 2nd LITTLE BOX OF FIGS has shipped out in a personal best Fig Tree record! Woohoo! 🙂
Hoping that most if not all of you have your boxes by now. We have heard from SO MANY of you that you love the autumn vibe of this box and that was exactly what I was going for… wanted to set the mood for you all!
Each quarter, we search far and wide to fill your boxes with the best items that we can find, choosing my own personal favorites, and hoping that each and every item is either useful in your sewing room or a lovely addition to your sewing journey in some way.
This year, we are taking a special step to including products from some special “mission driven” small businesses that we are so proud to work with. We are humbled by the good they are doing in the world and want to support them however we can. We think quilters have the biggest hearts around and would love it if our introductions of these companies prompted you to buy from them directly or support them in any other ways as you are inspired.
If you’d like more information on our LITTLE BOX OF FIGS subscription, please be sure to read all the way to the bottom for some answers to FAQs.
Pillows are one of my all-time favorite “quick projects”…and seasonal pillows are even better! In an instant, your living space can be updated and fresh for whatever season and mood you are in.
For this project, we used a HARVEST MOON charm pack but, of course, any groupings of fabrics in coordinated colors would work wonderfully. Choose your color family and create your orange, grey, or black-themed pillow(s)!
If pillows aren’t your “thing”, feel free to use these a table toppers. Instructions are provided for both ideas in the pattern!
We also added in some PRAIRIE POINTS for extra cuteness. Please remember that if you haven’t made them before [they are quite simple actually], we have a YOUTUBE VIDEO showing the process!
The STARS OF THE HARVEST pattern is also available in our shop in both PAPER and PDF, in case you missed out on this year’s subscription, or any of our “extra” little boxes.
SPECIAL: WE HAVE JUST LISTED SOME KITS FOR THE STARS OF THE HARVEST PILLOW PROJECT. CLICK HERE FOR THESE KITS WHILE SUPPLIES LAST.
These cute PATCHWORK HARVEST PUMPKINS can be bowl-fillers and table decorations – or add some crushed walnut shells and make it a fun, seasonal pincushion!
A MINI CHARM PACK of HARVEST MOON will make (2) different color versions, but feel free to add in your scraps for more variety! We made a ‘lighter’ and a ‘darker’ pieced patchwork panel to create our samples. The pumpkin instructions will walk you through all the details, but I will mention it again here…fill your pumpkins with as much stuffing as you can! It will give your overall project a fuller look in the end.
If you would like to make some pumpkins and are not a subscriber, we have a little pattern sheet with all the steps. CLICK for PAPER for the link to that sheet. PDF is coming in a bit.
If you happen to be on Instagram, be sure to follow me there – @figtreeandco – I will be posting a reel soon showing some of the steps in creating the PATCHWORK HARVEST PUMPKIN for you visual learners!
I really hope you enjoy all of these hand-picked goodies as much as I enjoy picking them out for you each and every quarter! This really is one of my favorite things to do each year.

Our 2023-2024 LITTLE BOX OF FIGS subscription is SOLD OUT, but we usually offer sign-ups for the following year in September/October. The best way to stay “in the know” on our offerings is to sign up for our newsletter, which you can do HERE.
The program begins in March of each year and has 4 quarterly boxes [April, July, October, January]. Each box is a thematic ensemble of goodies and we try to include a new and different variety of products each and every time. So that means:
Each quarter, box price differs between the range provided in your sign-up and depends on the items we include. Each quarter has a full main project, a small extra project, plus gifts and notions.
We do try to have a few *extra* LITTLE BOXES available for purchase, as a way of making the boxes available to more people who did not have a chance to get in on the annual subscription sign-up. These are a “first come, first serve” and usually go pretty fast, selling out in a matter of hours.
Some of the items in the box are exclusives and curated specifically for subscribers, but we do always offer the main project as a pattern in the shop so that anyone can join us in making it.
I hope this helps answers a few of your questions on our LITTLE BOX OF FIGS subscription!
