MEDALLION SAMPLER: BELLA SOLIDS FINISH

This was one of those projects that we dreamt up as a simple way to create a sampler that would work in a variety of different colorways. This way stores and friend groups could pick their own fabrics and create their own sampler journey. We have some Fig Tree friends who are working on it in Christmas, in Halloween and in scrappy versions.

For our version, I really wanted to stay with the Bella Solids that we had chosen for the cover photo. Slowly over the last year we have been working on this piece by piece and it is finally done.

Cheryl and I pieced it in the studio and sent it off to Marion to give it her fabulous quilt finish! It never ceases to amaze me, how much the quilting REALLY brings a quilt top to life. I am in love and it is perfect for summertime around here.

Yesterday I had the wonderful opportunity to visit a local farm with a friend for its official photo shoot. If you are local to the Bay Area, you REALLY want to check out their farmstand which starts in August and runs until they are out of their amazing flowers and produce. Check them out HERE and HERE and HERE.

As for MEDALLION SAMPLER… here are some beauty shots…

Do you have a list of which Bella solids you used and the amount of fabric required? Thank you!

All material amounts are listed are in the pattern and all kinds of info on color palettes etc. We do not have a specific list of Bella solids used since we used such a large variety.
Some of our favorite colors include: Coral, Cantaloupe, Persimmon, Mint, Aqua, Ruby Ice, Chartreuse, Pistachio, Geranium, Canary, Carribean. The easiest thing is to start with a group that you know you like and make sure it coordinates well with whatever is your chosen background.

My question also about the bella colors and amounts? I love the sunny yellow one best.
