Happy Easter Everyone!

My hope for all of us is that your day is filled with joy & hope especially in the chaos. We are so grateful to be a small part of your creative journeys and it is really my honor.

To those that celebrate... He is Risen!

Hope your day is filled with some eggs, some people you love and perhaps evening some evening sewing after all the activities are done.

As you can tell from the photo, our girls are back in full production and we are so excited to hear their clucking and reap the benefits of their work!

We don’t normally do this...

But we have received SO MANY requests for this BLOCK OF THE MONTH SAMPLER pattern to be released and available for everyone that we just couldn’t say no.

For those of you who have been wanting an heirloom sampler to work on this year for the 250th anniversary or for any other reason, this might just be your chance. This is one of our most popular samplers [originally only available to those in the actual program] from a few years ago and it is one that has become a fan favorite around here. It is quintessentially “Americana” summertime in style and something that you can work on over the course of the year and enjoy for decades to come.

Introducing the APPLE BLOSSOM ROAD SAMPLER pattern!!

A few things you will want to know:

• Read the pattern description carefully to know what other patterns you need to complete this as shown.
• The description also has all the info we could come up with for material suggestions to make this as close to the original as possible
• The pattern is laid out in 12 months, working a set of blocks at a time, to make the sampler less overwhelming
• My current ROSIE collection paired with my EYELET basics are a perfect substitute for the original fabrics used [those were from FRUIT COCKTAIL, EYELET and a few mix ins from other MODA designers]
• If you are not familiar with my EYELET basics, I would recommend grabbing some of the suggested colors at a local quilt shop that carries them [or on our website if you don’t have a LQS] and use those to “match to” when you are hunting around shops.
• You will also want to start collecting your favorite soft “low volume” cream and ivory prints for the backgrounds

MILK & BLOSSOMS…I am totally in love with these summery pitchers [the gold and green color scheme is making me dream up a summer quilt all on its own :-)].

I kind of changed gears from my plan to make minis and instead I think I am going to make a few more blocks so I can make a runner!

We’ve been having some fun over in our Facebook Group sewing along to my MILK & BLOSSOMS quilt.

In addition to the 12-block version outlined in the pattern, I’ve also designed a 1-block mini wall hanging setting pattern FREE on the blog [link in bio].

With all the deadlines I have going, I wanted to sew along but don’t have the time to make the full quilt this time around. Instead I am opting to make 1 or 2 mini hangings instead!

Do I really need to say more :-)?

You all know my love of a quick refresh with the amazing MODA towelings... well this time they are my towelings and I am just a bit smitten.

The woven color ones, the retro ones... oh and the waffle weave ones?? To die for.

We might have some bundles and I know lots of stores have the yardage just in case you have big plans!

Have you jumped on this bandwagon yet?

Admittedly I didn’t get it at first. Who needs this many mug rugs? But now it is my favorite little project to make with a sample block, a miniature version of one of my bigger blocks or just an excuse to sew something quick and fun. I trade them out every few weeks and they bring me so much joy as I work. Perfect next to your computer or your sewing machine...wherever you spend more time. Or better yet, one at each work station!

At moment it is all about the CARROTS and the SHAMROCKS. Come grab the LUCKY SHAMROCK FREEBIE block on the blog or the CARROT SPROUTS block in the shop.

Make a mug rug, a mini topper, a runner or even a quilt. Scroll through the photo files in our Facebook Group to see so many different finishes of these.
