MODA Blockheads: Block #50 & #51

Welcome to Week #50 of the MODA BLOCKHEADS 3 SEW ALONG. I am doing a little catch up from last week as well as adding this week’s block too. Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas week!

THIS MONTH’S BLOCK #51: SPARK PLUG

It’s Vanessas’s day today and this block is such graceful, delicate one. For our block, it was a perfect opportunity to showcase 2 small red florals and a favorite cream print for the center. Love the outcome so much!

Here is the PDF DOWNLOAD, CLICK HERE on Vanessa’s blog to get the block and read her inspirations. Go grab yours!

We chose a 8″ size for our version of this one. Thanks for this great addition to our sampler Vanessa.

CATCHING UP

And since we missed posting for last week, and many of you have checked in to see what we did, HERE IS THE INFO on what we did for last week’s post, Laurie’s block, NIGHT & DAY. Go HERE for this one!

We decided to do this one in two sizes both an 8″ size and a 6″ size [because we need some extra 6″ blocks too]. It was a perfect opportunity to use our favorite red gingham mixed with a fabulous Minnick & Simpson stripe along with a small red print with a small cream dot accenting the center and some ivory solid in the middle.

The new blocks… only a few left friends! Later this evening I will share more about our simple setting… but right now I am off to run some family errands! EDIT UPDATE: Here below you will find our layout!

Here is our LAYOUT, click HERE for PDF.

CATCHING UP ON THE PROGRAM

For those of you who are following our layout exactly, we didn’t add the applique from a few weeks ago , but instead made a few more of the 4″ filler blocks that we needed. We made 5 of the little 4″ hearts and 5 of the little mini houses.

… we got to use a great little stack of our favorite prints

Hello James- Please understand that when you write in ALL CAPS, that means you are yelling. It comes up fine on our end so please continue to try again and be sure you refresh your screen since there was a glitch on it when it originally uploaded a few days ago. Thank you.
