PATTERN SHOWCASE: FIREWORKS

The moment I designed ROSIE, I knew it was time to reimagine one of our long time classic patterns, Fresh Laundry. It had been around for so long as a Fig Tree basic, that I almost overlooked it this time around!

Originally created in soft subdued tones, as soon as it caught my eye, it practically yelled FIREWORKS at me and so a new updated rendition was born. Fireworks is a straight forward block using our often used, SEW & FLIP METHOD of piecing which requires no bias or triangles.

This quilt goes together quickly and would make a good beginner project. One of my top “requirements” for a good beginner project is that there are no [or very little] points that have to be matched in order to make the block look successful. This block has no points to match at all so that means it goes together quickly and without a lot of precision needed.
