12 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS ANNUAL DONATION

Just a quick post to let everyone know the status of the annual post 12 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS SALE food bank donation. If you are a new follower or participator in the 12 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS SALE, then we welcome you to our annual tradition at the end of each December.

Each year, once all of the 12 DAYS boxes are purchased, packed and sent out into the world, we collate our remaining information. This year we had 32 “unused” boxes and 64 “downgraded boxes”. This means that 32 of you purchased boxes for the sale and then either chose not to participate or didn’t end up wanting any of the items that we you were able to get. Alternatively I know about a dozen of you who purchase a box each year simply with the intention of having your amount donated to the food bank. Thank you to whichever above category you are in!

I always say, that there really is no way to lose in this equation when you purchase a box for the sale. Whether you use it, don’t use it or only use a portion of it [then the remaining portion is donated].

As always we match the donation amount and this year we actually tripled it. The need here in our area is great and we feel so grateful for all that we have.

The official donation this year was $3000 to our local ALAMEDA COUNTY FOOD BANK. AND AS IS OFTEN THE CASE, our donation was matched by the Stephen and Ayesha Curry’s Eat. Learn. Play. Foundation so our donations had double the value!
