Block of the Month Program Sign Ups for 2020 Launch

We are so very excited to start sharing about our programs for 2020…

We know its early for many of you to start thinking about what you want to be working on in 2020 but in order to secure all the fabric and other extra goodies we need, this is when we need to start, so without further adieu…

Introducing the

SUMMERTIME PICNIC BLOCK OF THE MONTH.

* This year’s sampler will have a distinctly beachy, nautical and patriotic flavor and will be based around our upcoming Catalina collection [we can’t show you the fabrics quite yet so you will just have to trust us that its pretty amazing and is in line to be one of my all time favorite groups]. Colors of the sampler will focus on cherry red, cornflower blue, aqua, navy blue with some green, grey and yellow mixed in to round out the palette, see the swatches above. And as always we will use a fabulous mix of creams and ivories for all those fabulous fillers and in-between blocks! We will also be adding in a few creams from the newest Mackinac Island collection by Minick & Simpson… love those ladies and their fabrics!

* The blocks will be a mix of some of our favorite Fig Tree blocks and patterns as well as other classic, traditional blocks as always. The sizes of the blocks will vary from 6″ to 18″ and the final layout will be a fabulous interesting classic sampler feel with lots of wonderful filler blocks and that Fig tree vintage flavor! We have added in a bunch of our favorite cream prints so that the stronger fabrics have plenty of room to breath and sparkle!

Given the theme this year, there will for sure be the following: SAIL BOAT, NAUTICAL FLAGS, LOTS OF STARS, BEACH UMBRELLA, AN AMERICAN FLAG and a variety of other beach & summer flavored blocks and shapes. The feel of this sampler will be distinctly BEACH with a vibe of PATRIOTIC due to the three different shades of blue + the reds but definitely in a Fig Tree way with lots of fabulous little prints, florals and warm, saturated colors. This is not a patriotic red white and blue quilt!
We absolutely CANNOT WAIT to show you the main collection the program is based on!!
Let’s just say that if you guys loved our Nantucket BOM, you are going to absolutely love this one… we are calling it a sister project to that one!

BONUS
This year the program will also include a special set of yummy, yummy Aurifil threads to coordinate with your project… more on that soon!

AND

A special nautical feeling tote bag especially for this collection!

Next Up,
SEA GLASS BLOCK OF THE MONTH

We are so excited to work with a new, soft and soothing color palette, in this newest program! Its the year of blue for us at Fig Tree as we incorporate a few gorgeous new blues into our newest upcoming collection and as we play with a variety of shades of aqua and light blue in this  SEA GLASS Block of the Month project.

Inspired by my walks on the beach where I inevitably search for little tiny treasures of seaglass… I just can’t help myself, I am nothing if not a collector! There are always a few to be found in a variety of aqua and blue tones, honed and softened by years of tumbling in the ocean… there is something so beautiful and special about those tiny little pieces of glass.

This quilt, although still a mystery, will be more in the style of our very popular CREAM SPARKLE and CREAM & CHARCOAL quilts, where the blocks are all the same size and the color palette is a bit more uniform, in this case aquas and creams. Given that the blocks are all the same size, and most definitely on the classic side, this is a great program to jump into if you think that maybe the main Fig Tree sampler is a bit too much for you.
SEA GLASS will be a combination of aqua & light blue prints, creams & ivories as well as a variety of aqua & blue Bella solids!
We are so very excited to work with these fabrics and to see how this one comes together in the end!
Hope you will join us! CLICK HERE for more info or to sign up!

That’s it for now. These will fill up super fast my friends and we will keep them open as long as we can. If you have any questions, feel free to ask them here. We will not be showing any photos or patterns for the quits as they are both a mystery. We also don’t have finished sizes but we can tell you that all of our past mystery samplers have ended up at a large twin “ish” size. Hope that helps!
