MODA Blockheads: Block #40 updates

So on Wednesday I mentioned that I would give you guys a bit more information on what we did for the #40 block for MODA BLOCKHEADS. If you want to read about our version of block #39, take a look a few posts back.

The String Block was lovely of course! But just a tad modern and whimsical for our more traditional RED AND CREAM SAMPLER that we are making. So we did a traditional LOG CABIN block… half red print and half cream prints.

We chose a 6″ size to go in our sampler… because that is what we are most in need of in our setting. To get our desired 6″ size, we used the It’s Sew Emma papers. I do believe they also come in 12″. Take a look HERE if you are interested in some paper pieced Log Cabin blocks.

Of course you could work up your own Log Cabin with whatever width strips works for you!
