PATTERN SHOWCASE: CHRISTMAS VILLAGE RUNNER

I am in love with the nostalgic, holiday feel of this CHRISTMAS VILLAGE BORDER print in my newest Christmas Collection, BUON NATALE. Honestly, I want to decorate everything with it.

We are making table and bed runners, mantle runners, Santa bags, long pillows, tablecloths, skirts, kitchen towels & aprons. The print is a bit addictive and once you start, its kinda hard to stop making all the things!

This simple runner pattern utilizes the border print in either red or green and uses the center leftover fabric for the blocks. It is definitely one of those “win win” situations where you get to make the best use of the fabric without compromising the project in any way.

Honestly the trickiest part of the whole runner is carefully trimming up the border print with just a little bit of “snow” left on it so that it blends well with the center pieced portion.

Runner can be changed up, of course, to be shorter or longer if you have more of the border print. In fact you can piece the print if you need to if you have multiple pieces.

FABRIC REQUIREMENTS:

• Background Fabric: 1 yd. [Ivory Cherry Eyelet]
• Border Fabric: 2 yds. Christmas Village Border Print from Buon Natale [Red Colorway]
• Binding: Use Village Border leftovers -or- 1/2 yd. [Red]
• Backing: 2 1/8 yds.

We still have a few VILLAGE RUNNER KITS [PINE GREEN VERSION] left in the shop – while supply lasts!

Honestly, I think this will be a bed runner for me this Christmas! It is perfection at the end of my bed.
