Now that we’ve officially introduced ROSIE here ON THE BLOG, it’s time to take a look at the new group of patterns I created to complement this summertime collection.
Each time I create a new fabric collection, I take a step back from the prints and let them “speak to me”. I know that might sound kind of silly but sometimes certain prints really do talk to me and encourage me to feature them in one way or another in a brand new pattern or in a new version of a classic Fig Tree pattern. After designing patterns for more than twenty years, I have lots of designs in my brain and in my inventory!
So this time around I have a few “brand new” patterns and for those of you who have been here for a long time, new editions of classic Fig Tree patterns that you might recognize. These patterns have either been out of print or were about to go out of print and now have a brand new updated version with cleaned up graphics, directions both inside and out!

This pattern comes with 3 Pre-Cut Versions for a lot of variety. The quilt shown here is the LAYER CAKE version in the pattern.

This pattern comes in two different “vibes” since I just could not decide which one I loved more. One is a more “classic” or traditional flag feel with stronger reds and darker blues. The other is a beachy, soft & faded feel that is so beautiful in its own right. Instead of all reds, the flags are a mix of pinks and soft reds, the blues are a mix of light blue and medium blue! Honestly I love them both.
Finishes at 58 1/2″ x 65 1/2″

This quilt was one of those that spoke to me from an earlier edition. I created this pattern originally over a decade ago, perhaps longer but who is counting 🙂 and it had gone out of print. While creating ROSIE… this pattern spoke to me as FIREWORKS almost immediately!
Finishes at 73 1/2″ x 73 1/2″ or “62 x 62” for the slightly smaller lap throw size.

……
This is one of those patterns that we have recolored and refreshed several times over the years as it never goes out of style or feels stale. This time it got a completely new “glow up” with a completely redone inside as well as outside cover! It features a honeybun for a fabulous and accurate way of making this quilt. Such a perfect classic one to bring out every year during the summer.
Finishes at 63″ x 79 1/2″

……
This is one of my all time favorite patterns and I jumped at the chance to bring it back to life after it went out of print. Honestly, I love it as an Americana version using ROSIE and/or as a more general summertime version with (12) different featured florals. I might be working on a personal version of this quilt this summer so check out Instagram or our Facebook Group to see my progress!
Finishes at 72 1/2″ x 85 1/2″

……
One of those patterns that never EVER gets old around here. We have created it in many different versions over the years, creating it in light springy colors, with reds and greens for Christmas, on taupe backgrounds & grey ones and more.
This time around It felt like the perfect vase of summertime blooms on your porch… real or imagined!
Finishes at 45 1/2″ x 64 1/4″
Pattern for this reissued version is shown in a cream -or- denim blue background
