FAIRYTALE PUMPKINS SEW ALONG – WEEK 3

Here we are! The midway point of our 5-week sew along…can you believe it?! It has been so wonderful to see pumpkins sprouting up all over social media…and even a few FINISHES already! Scroll to the bottom to see some of our Fig Tree Friends progress from our Facebook Group!

Below is the sew along schedule we are following, but you can jump in at any time!

MINI PUMPKINS

I love these mini pumpkins, and I hope you do, too! The combination of horizontal and vertical pumpkin “stripes” adds some fun dimension and movement.

• If you are making the “day”/”night” sampler, you will need to make (4) MINI PUMPKINS.

• If you are making the table runner, you will need to make (1) MINI PUMPKIN.

• If you are making the mini quilt, I think you know the drill already… 😉

SKINNY PUMPKINS

You get to pull out some greens again this week, as the skinny pumpkins include a LEAF unit! Just as with the squat pumpkins, be careful during assembly to make the correct left and right-facing stem units.

• If you are making the “day”/”night” sampler, you will need to make (4) SKINNY PUMPKINS total [x2 with right-facing stem; leaf to the left of the pumpkin + x2 with left-facing stem; leaf to the right of the pumpkin].

• If you are making the table runner, you will need to make (2) SKINNY PUMPKINS total [x1 with right-facing stem; leaf to the left of the pumpkin + x1 left-facing stem; leaf to the right of the pumpkin].

Don’t overthink it too much. This is simply if you want to recreate the same version we have designed. If a stem or leaf is turned “wrong”, you can always just go with it! No one will know but you. 🙂
