FREE TRICK OR TREAT: Sashings and Borders

CUTTING INSTRUCTIONS

From Ivory Background:

• Cut (6) 1 1/2″ strips. Piece the strips for length and cut  (2) L/R borders 1 1/2″ x 54 1/2″ and (2) T/B borders 1 1/2″ x 56 1/2″

From Orange Outer Border fabric:

• Cut (6) 2 1/2″ strips. Piece the strips for length and cut (2) L/R borders 2 1/2″ x 56 1/2″ and (2) T/B borders 2 1/2″ x 60 1/2″.

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS

• Assemble (4) rows of (4) blocks with sashing [g] and post squares [h].  Press towards sashing.
  Sew rows together as shown.
• Add L/R inner ivory border.  Press out.  Add T/B ivory border.  Press out.
• Add L/R outer orange border.  Press out.  Add T/B orange border.  Press out.
• Quilt as desired and bind with solid black or other color of your choosing!
