IGQUILTFEST2020: Its our day today!

Have you guys ever participated in this fun online event? Each year, my friend Amy Ellis organizes this great opportunity for quilters to share and cheer each other on in Instagram. You guys should really come over and check it out, click HERE for more info. This year we are hosting a GIVEAWAY… today… and we are a sponsor of the event too!

In between work craziness and the added insanity of what is happening in the world these days [in our county we are in a SHELTER IN PLACE ORDER which means that our whole family is home and we are not supposed to go anywhere other than for necessities in the grocery store… yikes], I have managed to do a few of the prompts this year including: The intro day where you get to see the rare picture of me [because usually my hair is up in a bun and I have no make up on working from my computer or sewing machine… such a glamorous life of a fabric and pattern designer]…

I also shared for the “favorite tip”, “favorite iron”, “creative hands”, “favorite scrappy quilt”, “favorite use of solids” and “first quilt”. Come check all of those posts out on Instgram if you want to see what I said about each…

… one of my early projects
… my favorite tip
… creative hands with my daughter
… favorite iron, yes its vintage. Check out instagram for more info.
… favorite use of solids, wools in this case.
… favorite use of solids mixed with cream prints

Today the prompt is a favorite quilt from a class or a workshop. Although I don’t really take classes, I do teach them. Come see why I share that our annual block of the month sampler quilts have easily become my favorite quilts each year!

And to top it all off… WE ARE SPONSORING A GIVEAWAY FOR #IGQUILTFEST2020 TODAY. You need to post with the hashtag for today which is #igquiltfest2020day18. Come on over and play! Its a good giveaway with patterns and fabric! We are figtreeandco on instagram!

I really wish you’d post your Moda block straight on. Your vignettes are lovely but I especially print out your block each month because it’s red and white, my favorite colors. I use yours for inspiration. And I agree that Cynthia is a fabulous friend and piecer. Thanks for your consideration.
