It’s that time again. Time to think SPRING… even if its not quite spring yet pretty much anywhere?!
If you’ve known me for any length of time, you know one of my favorite parts of the job is curating bundles. And we just so happen to have (3) fantastic new bundles to share with you today!

We are also going to take you on a journey to our past projects made with similar-feeling bundles, and we might just have a tinynew project up our sleeves, too! Read on to find out…

This is our first carrot project back from 2023. It uses my LE RADISH pattern to create stuffed carrots. Create a bushel and tie them together like we did, use string or twine to make a garland, or instead of using stuffing, fill with walnut shells for a fun Springtime pincushion!

Next came the carrot quilt block pattern – I mean who can resist this?!
The CARROT SPROUTS Pattern Sheet includes all the directions to make the block itself. But be warned – they are quite addictive!

Photos below are of one of the Fig Tree Ladies, Lacey’s carrot quilt. Isn’t it fabulous?!
And if you know Lacey, you know that when she commits to a project, she really commits. 🙂 She was working from an early draft of the CARROT SPROUTS pattern, and we later changed it up a bit to give the carrots more of a “point” at the end.
We are “pointing” (see what I did there?) this out just in case you start assembling your blocks and notice yours looking a bit different.

I created this fun freebie to feature on the MODA FABRICS BLOG, and is quick to put together. It’s also a great stash buster!

This is a true story… I started organizing myself to write this blog post. Then I decided we needed a new version of the carrot. So I made a block. Then I decided it would be time to trade out my heart mug rug for something spring next week… so the carrot block became a mug rug!
Honestly… from beginning to end, with quilting included, it took me maybe 1 ½ hours!! Now I kind of want to make more… but how many mug rugs does a person really need?

To make one just like this, follow this simple plan:
To be fair… I did warn you that they were a bit addictive!

Happy Sewing!
