MODA BLOCKHEADS: BLOCK #11

Welcome back to Week #11!

Once again this week, we are skipping the featured block for this week, sticking with one of the more classic BONUS BLOCKS. But you should most definitely go check out Jackie’s very unique block, BERRY BLOCK. You can find it HERE. It would be so cute in so many different settings!

If you would like some more background info on the program, how it works or how we are planning on doing our version this year, please scroll back to the previous posts for all kinds of info…

This below is our starter palette and we will be adding creams, reds and greens throughout the program so if you have a chance to add in some of your own from your stash… go for it.

INTRODUCING BLOCK #11 [for us]: ZIPPER BONUS BLOCK

HOW WE DID OURS

The units in this block might look confusing, but they are created exactly the same way you would a flying geese unit with the orientation of your stitch sewn differently. Each of the units in this block is made exactly the same way but just with different fabrics.

  • The center cream print is from Figs and Shirtings.
  • The green pindot is from Fresh Fig Favorites.
  • The deeper red is from Bunny Hill’s Prairie Days.
  • The small outside print is from Brenda Riddle’s Grace.

Sorry for SETTING POST DELAY. I have had a lot of deadlines that are taking priority. Please be patient and I will get the info up on the blog as soon as I can. The setting can’t be used until the end of the program anyhow so please bear with me.

We will see you guys next Wednesday with Block #12.

Be sure to follow us on INSTAGRAM and join us in our FACEBOOK GROUP for all kinds of Fig Tree fun!

See you soon, Joanna
