MODA BLOCKHEADS: WEEK #9

Welcome back to Week #9!

It always surprises me how quickly a quilt grows if you work on it just a little bit each week, you know?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
If you would like some more background info on the program, how it works or how we are planning on doing our version this year, please scroll back to the previous posts for all kinds of info…
This below is our starter palette and we will be adding creams, reds and greens throughout the program so if you have a chance to add in some of your own from your stash… go for it.
INTRODUCING BLOCK #9: CROSS MY MIND by Brigitte Heitland
This is such a fun and simple block to make and definitely a modern addition to our sampler.
To get the block directions for this week from Brigitte… GO HERE.
HOW WE DID OURS
Another great opportunity for a little fussy cutting, Cynthia focused on one of the bloom prints from our favorite dogwood fabric from Strawberry & Rhubarb. And those stripes! Well Cynthia outdid herself with some more careful fussy cutting… I love how that looks. If that amount of lining up is not your speed :-)… simple cut your stripes crosswise in the pieces and you are good to go!
  • The center dogwood fabric is from Strawberry & Rhubarb.
  • The green mosaic is from Pumpkins & Blossoms.
  • I believe that the little pink stripe is from a 3 Sisters collection whose name I can’t remember!
  • The background is IVORY SOLID.
Sorry for SETTING POST DELAY. I have had a lot of deadlines that are taking priority. Please be patient and I will get the info up on the blog as soon as I can. The setting can’t be used until the end of the program anyhow so please bear with me.
We will see you guys next Wednesday with Block #10.
Be sure to follow us on INSTAGRAM and join us in our FACEBOOK GROUP for all kinds of Fig Tree fun!
See you soon, Joanna
