This below is our starter palette and we will be adding creams, reds and greens throughout the program so if you have a chance to add in some of your own from your stash… go for it.

INTRODUCING BLOCK #6: SPINNING INTO SPRING by Linzee McCray
This is such a unique block…pretty sure I have never seen anything like it! It was fun to play with color placement on this one.

HOW WE DID OURS
This week Cynthia and I chose (2) reds, (1) green, (1) multi cream and a plain white on white for the background. Every once in a while adding in a white on white print for the background, or even a very tiny delicate print like a tiny pindot, really adds interest to a quilt. This time we chose a small floral white on white print for a little extra visual pop. I love the little soft cross in the center!
In terms of placement, working with a two color quilt, the cross in the center had to be a multi cream in order to stand out from both the red and the green. I felt like this print did the trick of feeling “different” enough without being too much of one color to blend in.
