Welcome back to Week #20-23!!

Well inevitably this happens every summer… time catches up with me and kicks me in the booty :-). This time around BLOCKHEADS paid the price. Last time we posted the beautiful block #19 and today I am catching us up to Block #23!

You can find info for the block over HERE.

INTRODUCING BLOCK #20: STOP GO

From the lovely and talented Stacy Iest Hsu, CLICK HERE for her directions and information about her block including a great story behind the block.

HOW WE DID OURS

Did I mention how much fun this block was to make?

  • The green print is from STRAWBERRIES & RHUBARB.
  • The red print is from CHRISTMAS STITCHED [coming to stores right now as we speak]
  • The background is a mix of a variety of cream and ivory prints for fun and visual interest

BLOCK 21 WAS A BEAUTY

We decided to skip this block… It was a bit modern for our vibe although I have certainly enjoyed seeing it in so many different fabric collections. CLICK HERE to see more about that block.

BLOCK 22: STAR PATCH BLOCK

Brought to us by my friend Sherri Mcconnell, her Star Patch block was certainly a great addition to our traditional sampler. CLICK HERE for directions and more info about that block.

HOW WE DID OURS

  • The red print is one of my all time favorites from STRAWBERRIES & RHUBARB
  • The green print is from CHRISTMAS FIGS and the little background pindot in the center is from FRESH FIG FAVORITES.
  • The cream, red and green flowers are from STRAWBERRIES & RHUBARB and the background print is from PUMPKINS & BLOSSOMS.
  • The outer corners are from STITCHED. I love it when we can use this many different collections together and they blend so well!

BLOCK #23: Introducing Brenda Riddle’s GENTLEMAN FANCY.

Such a wonderful block with so many possibilities! CLICK HERE to Brenda’s info on this block as well as her directions.

HOW WE DID OURS

As I am sure you can see… this was a perfect opportunity for a little center placement!

  • The center print is one of my all time favorites from STITCHED.
  • The red and green prints are a perfect match even though they are from differnt group. The red print is from STRAWBERRIES & RHUBARB and the little green print in the center is from FIGS & SHIRTINGS.
  • The outside/background is my favorite little pindot from FRESH FIG FAVORITES.

AND NOW I THINK I AM OFFICIALLY CAUGHT UP… UNTIL I FALL BEHIND AGAIN NEXT WEEK WHILE TAKING A LITTLE BREAK. See you all soon!

Be sure to follow us on INSTAGRAM and join us in our FACEBOOK GROUP for all kinds of Fig Tree fun!

See you soon, Joanna
